High up in the fog-shrouded mountains, a secluded resort has been infested by the ultimate evil. A powerful demonic entity has claimed a teenage girl as its lover. And its tendrils of corruption stretch through the town, infecting the icy ground with its foul taint.
Wren, Lark, and Shrike Rose make their way to this luxurious resort, intent on stopping the demon’s reign of terror. But what they find is far worse than anything they have faced before. For this dark power has no interest in possessing human bodies. It wants to breed. And the local teenagers have become unwitting hosts for a legion of demonic embryos…
As the trio struggles to expose the deadly forces lurking in the town, they are joined by a coven of modern witches, a retired police officer, and a sympathetic FBI agent. But will their combined forces be enough to hold off the supernatural onslaught looming on the horizon?
Or will a terrible sacrifice be required to claim victory in the final battle?
Our intrepid ever-persevering sibling trio of Demon Hunters are still on the road, here lately joined by the enigmatic former traffic cop Stephen Barsotti (who is a character in his own unique category) as they arrive in a quiet small community whose tourism income relies on the exceedingly abundant wildlife and an appealing lake and fancy hotel. Unfortunately the town is also Demon-ridden, currently directed by an adolescent "black witch" with a dangerous taste for sadism plus a driving desire to "seed" and "hatch" Demons. Quite possibly Wren, Shrike, and Lark may have met their match; certainly their continued survival is problematic and not pragmatic.
HELLFIRE is Book 3 of the electrifying HELLBOUND Series.
Hellfire continues the saga of the Rose siblings - Wren, Lark and Shrike, as they continue with their quest to hunt and destroy demons. This is the legacy left by their late father who died at the hands of a particularly nasty demon. They are joined by retired cop Stephen Barsotti. He becomes a believer quickly once he hooks up with this deadly trio. The book started out slowly but picked up steam as I read further. The final third of the novel is the best part, imo. It is gory, to be sure, but it keeps you reading late into the night. Have the Rose sibs fought their final battle? They get bloodied, to be sure, but there are hints at the end that more adventures await. That would please me.
I was lucky enough to get this advanced copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review and I'm willingly doing so now. I also purchased the e book version best of both worlds. I loved seeing the siblings in the thick of things and so glad the former policeman was able to connect with the three siblingd. The fast paced action was so good and definitely keeps your attention. narration was great the inflection was beyond and above. can't wait for more.
The Rose siblings are trying to stay one step ahead of the law, and the police officer that seems to be following their every move. When the FBI get involved in the latest case, it becomes a bit more difficult.
With the young officer now working with them, they are attempting to stop yet another demon, and not end up in a jail cell.
The final chapter of the Rose siblings. The story kept me interested, but I still found myself annoyed with the codependency of the siblings. Still a decent quick read.
