Winner of the Ridibooks 2019 BL Awards. Published in English for the first time in full color and fully uncensored!
Yiyoung and his college friends have formed a startup company together, and even managed to score a proposal meeting with the illustrious SJ corporation. But when he meets Kang Daehyung, a handsome corporate big shot that's just his type, can Yiyoung keep his cool long enough to succeed in both his love life and his career?
I had forgotten that they had an age gap of more than a decade. But unlike Takane and Hana, this really did not affect me because they are both consenting adults who are mature enough to understand the circumstances that they are in.
First and foremost, the story. Now that most of the angst is gone, we are greeted with mostly sweet moments between the two of them. This whole volume was just them being nauseatingly sweet. I felt like Secretary Cha while reading the book but still considering what they went through, the two deserve some happy moments. The next volume will be angst once again.
Talking about the next volume, I truly thought that this was the last volume and I was sorely mistaken. I think there should be at least one (or if I am unlucky two) more volumes to finish the series off. I really started buying the series thinking all the English volumes are out and I hate the waiting period between the publication of the different volumes in a series. I clearly had not done my research well as I am now in this situation. Considering that this volume was released this month, I think I'll have to wait another three or more months and most probably till 2024 to finish the series. I apologise for my rant as it took over half of my review but this is me as disgruntled reader.
This story was SO CUTE. All the characters from the main couple to the side characters were hilarious and so easy to love. I don’t think I’ve laughed so much reading a manwha honestly. The equal parts of spice, fluff, and humor was damn near perfect. The only problem I have is that it’s finished 🥹 definitely going to have to reread!
Just when something good happens for these two something else has to go wrong. Why can’t the universe just let them be happy. I love that they feel so deeply for each other but just give them a break.
Directo Kang and Yiyoung are finally together so about a third of this volume is 😏😏😏 and that’s basically it 😅. They do not encounter any problems but we are left at a cliffhanger which means drama will happen in the next volume. Over all it was entertaining. We get the romance and a good conclusion to the work Yiyoung and his group did for the company they partnered with. We get some comedy and what we all are thinking through Director Kang’s aide, Secretary Cha. She’s pretty funny.

Omgggg this is soooo beautiful. At first I didn’t like it and it wasn’t engaging for me but I continue just to see one thing (can’t say bc #spoiler), but before I reach to that part, I was already full invested. It’s well written, easy to follow, good main and side characters, the story develops so good, it was so fast to read, can’t wait for more. Give it a try, it’s a healthy relationship.
I’m not crazy about the art style and the storyline isn’t hugely unique (I can’t count how many older seme younger uke office worker manga/hwas I’ve read over the years) but it was an enjoyable read and the last 30 or so chapters were the best, imo. I really liked their relationship once things were more settled.
On or Off Vol. 4 delivers heartfelt moments and steamy tension, but uneven pacing and repetitive conflicts weaken its impact. The artwork remains stunning, yet side characters lack development. A decent continuation, but not the series’ strongest entry.
Will rate this 3.5—still a good volume as author-nim is slowly wrapping up the story (but dropped a suprising cliffhanger at the end of the volume! That’s unfair!)
This volume is so spicy that I burned my tongue! I was prepared for a whole chapter of it… and more! Still I adore Kang Daehyung, that man that he is! Oops, Yiyoung’s man, I mean!
Wow!
I'm actually a little disappointed because I was under the impression that this was, if not the full end of the series, at least a solid ending point. But it's actually a pretty strong cliffhanger, and I'm not clear on if the teased volume 5 will actually be coming out in English - I know there were some complications with the contract in Korea, etc, and there was a whole title change for the eventual continuation.
Also, a solid half of this volume was just sex, and I got a little bit bored. It's the workplace story that I adore with these two, and all the interactions with their friends/coworkers, so I was sad that took a pretty heavy backseat to some...more graphic...backseat stuff.
Still, the relationship between these two is really sweet, and I particularly loved the bonus chapter at the end, with the difference in their domestic lives, as Yiyoung sleeps in and Kang gets a solid and productive start to his morning.
Plus, the color choices in the art continues to be handled so well. I enjoy this story and do hope I'll be able to read more eventually.
This volume was almost too cute to me? It was a lot. This felt like a filler. Like they're just happy and in love in the honeymoon stage of their brand new official relationship before the impending hiccup in the relationship. Idk. I didn't like this one as much as I liked the others. I also wasn't vibing as much with the art. It's never been my favorite art style, but I at least somewhat liked it. There were some elements that I just didn't enjoy. I also keep getting jump scared by Kang's uncensored dick, but that's nothing new. And the shoe thing fucking bothered me! Like if you're going to fully take off your pants to fuck take off your shoes too?? I was uncomfortable.
Yeah not my fave, but there wasn't anything inherently bad about it.
This is my favorite volume in this Korean love story in an office setting. This volume focuses on the new budding relationship between our characters. This was simply so good. It was sweet and you can feel that new relationship energy going on.
The winkle this volume put in is that the new company finished their project and they are leaving the company so the couple won't see each other every day. It's going to be different.
I want to own this volume. Now, they need to move in together. I'm waiting for it. Wish list. I'm voting for a wedding. I just love this series. It's so good. Most Manga skip pieces of the story that keep it from flowing, but this one is amazing at it.
