The Six: Breely

Rate this book
Breely Laver is twenty-something, pregnant and furious in Chicago. Breely never set out for motherhood, and is devastated when her birth control fails her. Her fitness career and helping women through her yoga practices is her top priority, while utilizing social media to create a life she truly loves is the most important thing to her. Not even her long-time boyfriend Jordan, who is thrilled at the idea of fatherhood, can get Breely excited for this sudden change in her life. Going from a travel-heavy career to being stuck in Chicago with a newborn is not what she had on her vision board. Though fiercely independent, her group of girlfriends is at her side to support her, and Breely begins to wonder if perhaps everything does happen for a reason. But with the friend group still at odds over a crushing feud that rocked the six girls, Breely has more than just a positive pregnancy test to make a decision about …

This fourth book in a six-part girlfriend series introduces you to Breely, Kristy, Nora, Lauren, Tinsley and Scarlett, and takes readers on six individual stories about relationships, career choices, personal conflict and the bond of friendship.

The Six: Breely
I was excited and fortunate to be given the ARC for this 4th book in The Six series by Samantha March. I started reading her books earlier this year, and quickly fell in love reading about each of the 20 something girls Kristy, Scarlett, Lauren, now Breely, Tinsley, and Nora. Each of these books while primarily from the namesake point of view, lets the reader into the lives of each of these 6 friends living in Chicago.

You get to know their friend group, their closer relationships within the group, work life, personal relationships with some steamy details, and be along the way for their ups and downs of life in your 20s. This book focuses on Breely, an inspiring yoga instructor whose life takes a turn in way she hadn’t planned. It goes through Breelys feelings about her current life, what her life may look like in the future, and how her relationships may be changing and evolving, including amongst her tight knit group of friends.

Samantha’s The Six, is what led me to chick lit, and I’ve enjoyed reading each of her 4 books in this series and look forward to Nora and Tinsley.

While there was a few parts of this book that felt a little to cliche or even a bit cringy at times. (I.E. some of the dialogue between all 5 girls, and some of Breelys monologue) this book had me on the edge of my seat multiple times. It was an enjoyable and quick read for me. I love The Six series and love the relationships Samantha has created between the characters. I can't wait to read Nora next.

When you start a book on a raining weekend it is easy to finish quickly. Especially when it just keeps your attention. Before reading Breely in The Six series, Scarlett had been my favorite storyline. But Breely’s story truly held my attention throughly. I loved the way Samantha wrote Breely’s story and truly loved every minute of reading this.

I was so happy to dive into the next segment of this story! Breely is an inspiring character that I wish I could be more like. I can't wait to see how the rest of the overall plot lines develop in the next two books.

While I cringe at the idea of "a pregnancy is a sign from the universe that I'm with the right man", I did enjoy Breely's story and I think this is my favorite of the 4 books in this series so far. Looking forward to Nora's story.

Every time I finish one of the books in the series I think - this was the best one! This was my favorite one! And this one is no different. I can’t wait to read the next one and hoping this series is much longer than just six books….

I absolutly love Sam's books. It is fun following all of the girls in their individual stories and well as their journey together. Breelee grew so much as a person in this book. I wholly believe that she would of grown just as much regardless of if she had decided to keep the baby or not. However, I do think that the decision to keep the baby, provided clarity on a lot of other area of her life and what she wanted. She grew because she opened herself up to the POSSIBILITY of change regardless of what the change was or how scary it was. I really need to know wat IS going on with Tensley. I really feel like there is some critical information missing. I also, don't trust Cole. If Teinsley is telling the truth, than the explanation that Cole gives is the exact kind of approach Cole would of taken to cover it up.
