This was another great book by the author. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. I love the characters, each individual plot, and the overarching plot of the series. So far these have been very enjoyable to read. The epilogue of this one was such a cliffhanger. Although potentially a very tragic outcome, the additional suspense was a perfect addition to the storyline. Starting the next one right away because ughhhhh!!! I need to know what happens to that character!
A Cami Lake Book 4, by Blake Pierce tells of a serial killer with a twisted Goldilocks fetish, who's ramping up the speed at which he he selects his female victims. IT expert Cami consults with the FBI, and she and Special Agent Connor must work fast to unlock the link between the violent deaths, and do so before the 'Mama Bear' killer strikes again.
It's non-stop action and with plenty of thrills and chills, Blake Pierce hits exactly the right nuance between suspense and terror in Just Forget, to grip you firmly by the imagination and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. A must for fans of Stephen King, Patricia Highsmith and Thomas Harris, get your copy right now - satisfaction is guaranteed!
It's interesting to accompany Cami's character development, she's not so much against the FBI anymore, she's much more conscious of dos and don'ts regarding the law, and she learned the meaning of working with a team and as a team. Although she tries she has not been able to avoid being a hacker and that might bring a lot of trouble for her. In Just Forget, Cami goes beyond her IT skills to help catch the culprit, and her personal relationship with Ethan is put under extreme stress. What will happen now? I thank the author for the ARC.
Cami is on the case with her partner, this time searching for a twisted serial killer who may or may not be a bit too interested in the Golidlocks fairy tale. There are no happy endings for the victims of this deranged "Mama Bear" killer. This series just keeps getting better as the undercurrent of Cami's search for her missing sister ties everything together in the background.
The first two books in this series were great. Wonderful plots, characters and writing. Starting with the third book the writing started going downhill and it has continued in the fourth book. I sometimes have the feeling that more than one person is writing. I continue to like the characters and the plot so I will continue the series. I just wish the writing would improve.
