Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?
The short? You got it.
I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.
How was that?
A little more detail? Gotcha.
I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

Okay this series is getting better, while yes this was supposed to be about Aaron and Blake, you do get to have snips of Indy and the gang.
This definitely had the action and plot development that I was waiting for (for Indy).
I have noticed with a lot of Nora Phoenix’s books that if it is part of a series with possibly different couples for each book you will for sure get POVs from the every couple that has been established. While in previous series of hers I didn’t like that, this series it works for me.
I am interested in this throuple for the next book!
The author is back to letting the boys live in their non traditional relationships and I'm so glad that she didn't take a hardline on pairing the boys up. Wow. So glad. I admit, I didn't expect to like Aaron in this book but I really did. Poor puppy.
That said, I really am struggling with the number of times these guys can get off in a row. It really hard for me to suspend my disbelief and just go with it. I wish she was a little more realistic with their time together.
The action and adventure all seems more plausible then usual which I appreciate.
Can't wait for book 4 but at the same time, I'm a little nervous because the excerpt seems to play fast and loose with lack of consent which made me cringe. Also... I'm not ready to be reading the last book in the series.
This series is really heating up now and pieces are falling into place. What was once fluffy now makes sense ! I’m enjoying the development of characters and their relationships/ connections. Of course there’s some over the top dramas and a few diva moments but hey it’s fiction ! Book 4 here I come
I'm so glad I finally got back to this series, and it's a real pleasure to listen to Kenneth Obi again. He does a great job with these guys, his accents really make me smile, and it's easy to hear how much fun he's having performing Nora Phoenix's particular brand of humor, angst, and erotica.
I wound up liking Aaron more than I thought I would and felt sorry for him. I enjoyed him coming into himself even as he struggles with what he needs and how others perceive him.
I'm enjoying these books, but there are times when this series gets frustrating. There is, again, a lot going on and it jumps around between the couples. I have skimmed some sex scenes - these guys are like machines going at it and coming again and again, back to back. Overall it's an entertaining story and things moved along regarding Indy's past coming back to haunt him. I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out with Connor's crazy plan and seeing Charlie get some happiness. I'm also hoping to see Josh and Aaron's relationship strengthen.
Definitely the best one yet, the plotting has been tightened up considerably and the narrative is about more than just the sexual relationships of the characters.
Here we get a new couple, Josh's estranged brother Aaron and Indy's jujitsu trainer Blake and it's a little bit kinky but without ever really tripping over into full on puppy play.
The best thing about this book though is the vast movement on the main story arc which has been running through the series - Indy's vicious ex and his Boston mobster threat.
Without spoiling anything, I absolutely loved the twists and the way the situation was handled here and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens now.
The romance element of this one with Aaron and Blake actually worked surprisingly well given it wasn't really the main focus. I liked seeing Aaron's sexual awakening and it was handled with consideration and skill.
Now roll on book four and what is already setting up to be an intriguing poly relationship.
#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.
I enjoyed the continuation of Indy, Josh, Noah and Connor’s story but I didn’t care about Aaron’s. He was too needy and whinny and couldn’t bother to move his ass. He was lucky to find Blake. Also, the puppy play is not my cuppa (even if it super light here).
Warum nun also 4 Regenbögen?
I was not sure what to expect after reading the first two books. but I really liked Aaron and Blake and how the relationship developed. Hope Josh will change his attitude
I loved the introduction of Aaron into this series and it was great to see more of Blake too. I felt for both as they came together and found love. And how Indy’s story was finished was outstanding.
Well, that took a turn. The first two parts where relatively light, even though the subject matter was often dark and grim, but this one was entirely unexpected.
Pretty much all the couples get some shitty curfball thrown their way, and some of that stuff is rather dark and depressing. I was somewhat annoyed that Aaron and Blake's arch seemed to have been mostly abandoned somewhere in there, too. I was fine with the over-arching story line, but this one felt more like part of a serial, just a snippet ripped out of a big story. The other ones worked well enough, because they focused on the current couple, which also was part of a bigger whole. But Aaron and Blake are not part of the inner circle, so it just does not integrate as seamlessly and it becomes very apparent that they are just not that important to the story, when it just switches away from them for most of the later part of the book. Since I actually liked that couple quite a bit, it makes for a rather unfulfilling experience. They just did not get enough page time for it being their book and their relationship just felt rushed and under-explored.
I was left on the edge of my seat in the last half of this. There was a new couple in this one, and naturally the sexual relationship that we know from No Filter and No Limits, but the focus was more on tying loose ends in the plot. Since you become super invested in the characters throughout three book, it was nice to hear about all of them and not just the new couple.
Aaron's progress is interesting, and his relationship with Blake seems good, but it isn't the transgressive relationship I think it was supposed to be, because all relationships in the series sorta push the borders of a vanilla, monogamous relationship.
While there are still some minor loose ends for the final book in the series, the big conflict has its climax in this book.
Around 3.5 but only because the other guys were in the book. I didn't care about Blake and Aaron. I didn't really see their connection as very deep. Didn't care for the kink either. I'll still continue because Indy...
My least favorite, though I do like that we wrap up some of the big plot points with Indy, Josh, and Connor even while we're having to live through GD puppy play. (My soft limit!)
No Fear is the third book in Nora Phoenix's No Shame series. Note that this series absolutely must be read in order. If you read the No Shame: The Complete Series boxset, there's actually a deleted scene you can enjoy, too. Here's what you can expect:
❤️ MM romance ❤️ Third person multiple points of view ❤️ Happily for now with overarching storyline that continues in No Shame ❤️ Hurt/comfort ❤️ Found family ❤️ Mild puppy play elements ❤️ Redemption arc ❤️ Exploring gender expression
As always, ensure you review the content and trigger warnings to decide if this book is right for you. You can use Amazon's "Read sample" feature to view the warnings. Please take care of yourself while reading.
Because this series is laid out quite differently to a lot of others out there, let me take a minute to review the dynamics. No Fear is primarily Blake and Aaron's love story. Aaron is Josh's brother from No Filter and No Limits. This book also has multiple chapters from the first four main character's perspectives (Connor, Josh, Indy, and Noah) and the overarching plotline from the first two books continues.
I didn't expect to love this book as much as I did! It was my first time reading puppy play kink, and if it's something you're unsure about, this would probably be a great way to try it out as it's very mild (note that the puppy play does increase as the series continues). As with the first two books, but especially the second one, we understand why the character is so drawn to the kink and what part of them it's healing. This book also has a great redemption arc for Aaron. Aaron is Josh's brother, and their relationship is strained, at best. We dive a little more into their history and understand what happened from Aaron's perspective. Although they aren't immediately best friends, their relationship takes a turning point towards healing. I really did like Aaron by the end of this book, even though he came off as very unlikeable when we met him (and at the beginning of his story). But never fear, Blake is going to whip him into shape!
I just loved how their relationship developed. They had such amazing chemistry both in and out of the bedroom. I think one of my favourite aspects of this story, other than the character development and redemption, was Aaron's exploration of his gender expression. I definitely had a few tears in my eye when Blake took him shopping for the first time. Blake was so protective of him, and even though Aaron could be considered clingy and codependent (Blake's brothers were very quick to point that out, urgh), and normally that's not something I enjoy reading, but it worked so well in this case. I was thrilled when Blake and Aaron's chapters would come up for this reason! I also enjoyed how the overarching storyline, as well as the relationships between Indy and Noah and Josh and Connor continue to progress. Overall, this and No Limits were my favourite in the series! Happy reading 🙂
I received an ARC of this book in return for my honest review. This series has fed my mind, hurt my heart, soothed my soul and burned up my Kindle!
A+ on the cover because the model used for Blake is one of my favs! That aside, we get to know the jujitsu professor quite a bit more in this book. We also get some more insight to Aaron, Josh's brother, as he finds himself learning to be a gay man out for the first time. Blake takes Aaron in and starts training him. Their attraction simmers and grows to boiling throughout the story (and if you crave a little EXTRA with how their relationship develops, you definitely want to download the tasty bonus chapter). Aaron's dependency and need for a caregiver speak to Blake's naturally caring persona. And once they figure it out, it goes places!
As has been the norm with this series, we get a HFN (Happy For Now) ending and are promised more in Book 4. Thankfully the wait for that is only a month after this drops. This book, and the others in the series, are NOT STAND ALONES. In order to get the entire story for each couple, you will need to read the first two. And their stories will continue into book 4.
We also get some phenomenal story telling by Nora as we get deeper into the story of Indy, his past, and what he will need to sacrifice for his future. Noah has his own issues to deal with while Josh and Connor skirt the edges of legal to keep their foursome-ish family safe and healthy. I was very happy with the way Nora finished this book and part of Indy's story. If she had left us hanging at this point in the series, I think I would have freaked out a bit. This series, and in particular, this book, has made me recall that I love reading some high drama, action, suspense, police/fbi romances. Excited to see where that takes me too.
There is a hint of more characters and stories to come. Super hyped about that, by the way.
What can I say about this book other than that I loved it, absolutely loved it. But be warned. If you start reading this story, you won’t be able to stop. It grabbed me by the throat and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. This sweet, hot romance combined with a suspenseful story full of twists and turns, had me captivated from the start. Nora Phoenix just keeps getting better and better. This is not your cookie cutter MM romance. This author brings in so much more. She writes about different forms of love and sexuality with an openness and honesty that is astounding and eye-opening. Nothing is too weird. Everything is completely natural and realistic. Aaron is drowning, lost after losing everything: his parents, his house, his job. He finds a new home with Blake, who teaches him everything there is to know what it means to be gay and to embrace your inner self. I loved how Aaron asked all those questions, with a heartwarming naivety and eagerness. It was funny and adorably sweet, and then, oh my goodness, so hot. The way Blake helps Aaron find his way to come into his own, to find his identity, to be who he really is, is absolutely wonderful. This story is not only about Blake and Aaron. It is just as much about Indy, Noah, Josh, and Connor. All four men are connected with each other, in the past and in the present. Every decision they make affects the other three profoundly, but they do what they have to do. Their dynamics and interactions are uniquely theirs and loaded with emotions. From laughing, to tearing up, to laughing again, this story provokes every reaction. At times, I literally had shivers crawling down my spine. This book is the third installment in the fabulous No Shame series and cannot be read as a stand-alone. Although the books have their own MC’s, they have a continuing story line. Really, don’t read this book without having read the other two.
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 — for frequency and kink, though I’m not entirely certain about the rating because I skipped large portions of the book that did not include scenes with just Aaron and Blake
I’m not giving this book a rating because it’s not the authors fault that I did not enjoy this book. I went into this book, mostly blind, based on a recommendation for a book that featured codependency between the main couple, and no cheating or sharing. And so I did not realize that this is not a standalone and that Aaron and Blake are not actually the main couple.
Based on the blurb, they seem like they are supposed to be the main couple, but the polyamorous relationship featuring Connor, Josh Noah, and Indi is really more central to the story. Blake and Aaron felt like side characters to their story. Even in this book, which is I guess supposed to be about them?.
I don’t read polyamorous relationships in my fiction because I don’t enjoy them. I don’t understand them and they just don’t do it for me. I loved the bits that featured Blake and Aaron but they did feel like bits.
If you like MM+ romance, that features polyamorous relationships that have a lot of love, and also a great plot, and is a multi book series that follows the same characters almost like an ensemble cast ….. then yes this is a great series for you, but you can’t read the books as stand alones.
If you are like me, and you do not enjoy polyamory in your romance and you like a series to follow one main couple and even if there are side characters, you want them to really be side characters you don’t want books that kind of feature their story, a bit more heavily then this is not the series for you.
So yeah, I would absolutely recommend this series just based on this book to the right people that it’s for it just wasn’t for me based on what I like to read in my romance.
Aaron (Josh's brother) is arrogant, self entitled & spoiled & also pretty clueless. He was used to having everything & now has nothing. He's staying with Indy's Brazilian jiu - jitsu Professor Blake Kent. Aaron needs to get his life together and find some direction for his life & Blake offers to help.
I enjoyed watching Aaron begin to find himself with the help of Blake. I loved watching their relationship develop. They are so perfect for each other. Both giving the other what they need. So sweet, loving and sexy. Aaron still struggles with some issues but is trying to overcome them.
It was great to see the relationships with Indy, Noah, Josh & Connor again. Indy still dealing with the threat of his past & keeping the others safe. Each of them making sacrifices for the safety of the others. I really felt the love & the connection between all of these men. The unique relationship between them all works perfectly for them.
I was kept fully engage throughout the whole story, always wanting to know what happens next. I got more engrossed and drawn in as the story progressed & I just couldn't stop. I'm glad I started this on a Friday because I didn't stop till I'd finished at 3am!! (Yay for Saturday sleep ins..) It very well written with great story progression & characters you really care about. It has a great finish but I also really look forward to reading book 4 to see how the loose ends are tied up and follow on with the story of some of the secondary characters. I highly recommend this book & the series.
*I was given an ARC for a totally honest & unbiased review.
This is hands down my favorite of the series. We still have the insta-love that we’ve had in the last two books but the arc of the series is finally getting some traction. This is definitely not a standalone so go back to books 1 and 2 if you haven’t read them yet.
I love Blake. He seemed really aloof in the last two books but now that we see him open up he’s a really great guy. His history is a bit heartbreaking but I love that he’s doing something to help similar victims. He has a great relationship with his brothers. He shows extreme patience with Aaron.
While I understand more where Aaron is coming from I’m still not 100% sure I like him. I don’t dislike him as much but he’s not my favorite character. He finally gets some traction on his self-discovery and growth. I have hope that he and Josh can mend their relationship before the end of the series.
The arc story surrounding Indy comes to a head in this one. There are still a few loose ends and a couple of questions I have but we mostly have a resolution. It is very predictable at times but I was surprised by a couple of things. And yes, everything works out exactly as it should which is hard for some folks to enjoy but I liked it.
We get a lot of Noah, Indy, Josh and Connor in this one and each of them have moments of greatness.
I’m absolutely looking forward to the next book…I am intrigued by Miles and Brad and hope Charlie gets some happiness after all he’s been through!
