"The things I have to do may appear burdensome to you…but for me, it's not as difficult as you say."

My favorite volume yet!

There is something SO deeply satisfying and very beautiful seeing Navier really experience love from people who ARE not that jerk emperor. (Refrains from ranting how much I absolutely loathe his character and wish I could rip him off the pages...) It doesn't matter if it's the gentle but fun affection from Heinrey, caring but protective "love" from an unexpected character who drinks an even more unexpected love potion (and he is showing ALL the affection we know and feel Navier rightfully deserves), the avid support from her ladies-in-waiting who also encourage Navier to NOT attend certain events in this volume (Please Navier, listen to your lady-in-waiting, Laura. She is always saying what we're all thinking LOL), or from a dear friend who holds Navier in much higher regard then she (Navier) ever realized until that critical moment.

Truly, there were many wonderful moments that thankfully overshadowed the emperor and Trashta. And speaking of her, while there was a VERY brief moment here or there that I felt an inkling of compassion for her, she is no "saint." Someone once told me that because she was thrust into this situation, her worry and fears make sense (and as result deserves some compassion), but Trashta has made PLENTY of her own trashy decisions that had NOTHING to do with fear or worry of her reputation. When Navier shares her "blessing" near the end, I internally cheered when the real meaning was revealed because how the heck do Trashta and the emperor EXPECT and BELIEVE Navier should support them with a new big life-changing event that takes place?! Both of them…UGH! Can't stand and hate how possessive the emperor is and INSISTING how Navier is stuck between two jealous men. Like dude, GET A LIFE!! So so so dang frustrating!

Thankfully though, our sweet Heinery MORE than makes up for that man's actions and presence because Heinery is SO kind and affectionate and SO adorable! I love how honest Navier can be with him and even jokes with him! Definitely makes my heart soar for her and SUPER cheering for these two, even if things are unsure due to a tragic moment! My heart ached for both of him and Navier SO much!

Overall, a very splendid volume that has me itching for the next volume! Also, despite that I read both seasons on WebToons late last year, reading this volume is just as fantastic as the first time I read it! Continuing to highly recommend this series!

This series is so damn messy....

Every volume I think we'll eventually reach a point where things will level out, but nooooo Alphatart makes sure to up the stakes at every single turn. At this point, we can throw away Sovieshu and Rashta. They make me absolutely sick with their expectations of Tuania. She shouldn't have to witness their bullshit and partake in it. I can't wait to dive into volume 4!

It has been a long time since I've read something so frustrating. Navier truly is in an untenable position, but she can't see her way out of it, while the emperor continues to be a combination of a twit and a dingle. Rashta's not nearly as clever as she thinks she is, or wants to be, but that doesn't matter because she's got the emperor so firmly in her grasp. It's a good thing the start of volume one was midway through the story, because without that to look forward to, I'm not sure I could keep reading.

...but I'm also not sure I could stop.

I know the Grand Duke is only under the effects of a Love Potion, but I WISH his feelings were real! He’s SOOOOO much better than the Prince who I don’t trust at ALL.

And the emperor has NO right to be jealous over his wife getting male attention when he has A MISTRESS of his own whom he is so loving towards. And his wife isn’t encouraging the male attention, she is being a good and proper wife, despite his being unable to honor his vows to her! What a JERK! I SWEAR if he is doing all of this to get her attention, throat punch!

And the mistress is PREGNANT. And Navier might have to adopt it as her own, if she doesn’t have the heir… and honestly? To have an heir, they would have to be intimate and HECK NO. I couldn’t imagine allowing a cheating jerk who treats me like poo and doesn’t believe a word I said USE me as a brood mare! And I don’t think Navier would be too happy with that either.

I’m not a violent person, but MAN he makes me want to reach into the book and give him a nice throat tap. Poor Navier! I wish she could just leave with the Grand Duke and I wish his feelings were real!

4, I wish this could end with my ship but I can see which way the wind is blowing and I’m not happy about it, stars.

Volume 3: Episode 31-45
Grand Duke Kaufman's love potion is a gem. 🤣
The mistress and his pseudo allies' manipulation and underhanded tactics are starting to grate on me. Also, seems like Duke Ergi and Prince Heinrey are conspiring. It's sad that Heinrey and Navier are parting but it must be a long game the prince is playing. I can't wait for everything to unfold.

Literally so much happened over the course of these 15 episodes. Suddenly it seems like the empress has three separate potential love interests. Tbh, I kinda think plot wise there is way too much happening since I still can't decipher the character motivations behind what is happening.
I still can't tell if Rashta is smart, has a brain, and actually has some plans in place or if she's just pretty and surprisingly lucky

Today's manga post is on The Remarried Empress, Vol. 3 by Alphatart. It is 288 pages long and is published by Ize Press. The cover has Navier, Prince Heinrey, the Emperor, and the Grand Duke on it. As it is the third volume in the series, you need to have read the first two volumes to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who like their love stories to have politics and some magic in it. There is mild foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the manga- "I wonder what it would feel like if there was someone who couldn't think straight because of me."
Secrets and schemes are swirling around the palace... and when people are playing with fire, someone's bound to get burned. Navier is doing her best to manager the flames, but when a magic potion leave Grand Duke Kaufman spellbound, Sovieshu's misconceptions about her love life spiral out of control! Meanwhile, Rasha is all but fanning the inferno- though if Duckess Tuania's admirer has his way, the mistress will soon face the consequences of her malicious ploys. And Heinrey's blazing passion for Navier may have to be put the back burner when news of his brother's ill health reaches the Eastern Empire. Will the empress and prince be pulled apart before they can be pushed together...?

Review- Navier continues to try and save both her face and her marriage but when Rashta is confirmed to pregnant, everything in the palace shifts. As Navier has never been pregnant, Sovieshu's is very excited about his first child, even if the child couldn't inherit the throne. But that adds more stress to the relationships in play. Navier is doing her best but will so many working against her in the background, she has no chance. Heinrey is pulled away as his older brother is dying but all he can think about is Navier. I like that the author is giving Rashta's perspective on why she is acting like she is. It does not excuse her poor behavior but it gives some insight into her. But I am getting sick with Sovieshu being a jerk to Navier and, unlike Rashta, we have no idea why he is behaving as he is. I look forward to getting to the where the series starts because I am over Sovieshu and his bad behavior.

I give this volume a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

I started reading this series on webtoon like 5 years ago and, even though I really enjoyed it, I ended up abandoning it. Until, that is, a few days ago! When I resumed reading the final chapter of the second season and became obsessed with the third one! (I’m fine, I just needed to dissociate a little from the fact that I have 4 exams next week)
Oh yes, the comic: amazing characters, gorgeous art and impeccable storytelling, I said I was obsessed, didn’t I?
That’s everything for now, I promise to restrain myself from starting the fourth season until this wonderful week ends…or NOT! :D

¡Vaya dramon!

Oh Heinrey, the man you are!

I still don’t trust Duke Kaufman, so this is all making me a bit uneasy. As for Duke Ergi, he’s definitely plotting something here. Meanwhile, Sovieshu is a good for nothing who really needs another good slap in the face. Luckily, at least Navier is putting both Rashta and her shitty husband in their place.

Help! This series has a chokehold on me and I don’t know how to escape!

I'm a sucker for most "historical" manwha, and this is no exception. The pacing is kinda slow for me, but it doesn't lack intrigue and each volume manages to keep me on my toes.

I'm fairly certain I have the next volume somewhere, and I can't wait to start it.

I really, really enjoy this series. I don't know how I am expected to wait until the next volume comes out...

I know this is available via Webtoon, but I swear it's not exactly the same.

Still vastly enjoying this story. Sovieshu is still being an insensitive idiot, Rashta is clearly in over her head, and poor Navier is just trying to be strong for her empire despite the other two doing nothing to help. We continue to draw closer to the divorce scene as a big reveal involving Rashta is made. And poor Heinry needs a hug... and his queen. The story continues to build and the art work is just as beautiful as ever.
