Jane B. Mason grew up in a large family in northern Minnesota. She has written books for kids of all ages under many names and on many subjects, among them ghosts, Jedi, detective duos, princesses, twins, mean girls, and slam books.

Jane has lived in the midwest and on both coasts, but appears to have settled in Oakland, California, and writes almost every day at either a friend's dining room table or a little studio in her back yard, where she has a purple loveseat, a whole lotta books, and an odd selection of trinkets she has unwittingly been collecting since she was a child.

I loved this book! It was amazing! It is about a girl who broke her leg while skiing. It was her birthday this week and she wanted to ski with her friends. she was so sad and she thought that her friends forgot her because they used to leave her all day alone. but at the end they surprised her with a big birthday and they bought her the snowboard of her dreams. she was very happy!

Cute book for the tween. Helps the reader see that sometimes jumping to conclusions is not the best way to make an answer. Also, had some very tween emotions that help the reader know that they are normal.

I thought this book was predictable, but yet again, most Candy Apple books are. My favorite characters were Gretchen and Conner, the Ski Wee idea was super cute.
