This is another fantastic bind up edition containing two wonderful stories. The best mistake and Irish rebel by the talented storyteller Nora Roberts. Two fantastic romance stories. This book was highly entertaining and enjoyable book to read. I definitely recommend reading Nora Roberts books.
The best mistake. Coop a sports writer responds to an advertisement for an apartment. Meets Zoe Fleming and her son Keenan. Accepts the apartment meets the neighbour mrs Finkleman who he learns that Zoe is single mother Keenan’s father abandoned her when she got pregnant. She works at a florist floral bouquet and waitress at Shadows. She’s paying off a mortgage to give her son a home in a good neighbourhood and yard. She’s 25 regrets not going to college to get more education wants to own her own flower shop. She proved her friends and family wrong that she could look after herself and her baby without help she moved from New York to Baltimore. Cooper apologises after he accidentally offends Zoe ends up taking Keenan to a baseball game despite being unnerved by children but warms up to Keenan. Coop watches him when Zoe goes to work, comforts keenan when he gets scared by a storm. Coop becomes deeply attached to both Keenan and Zoe, he teaches Keenan how to play baseball, coop takes on carpooling taking Keenan to and from school. Coop and Keenan get really attached to each other with Keenan looking at coop as a father figure. Zoe and coop have sex he really likes Zoe and Keenan but isn’t ready to be part of a family. Panics when the neighbour comments on him, Keenan and Zoe looking like a family he starts distancing himself, feeling disappointed but not surprised Zoe Carrie’s on with her life. Days later they talk and he makes it clear he isn’t ready to commit to a family she makes it clear she’s not expecting him to be a husband or father figure even though he gets what he wanted he isn’t happy it sinks in he does want to be with both of them but he needs to convince Zoe, gets Keenan to help set up a romantic meal and wins her over by already talking to Keenan first for his opinion he asks her to marry him and she says yes.
Irish rebel. Brian Donnelly gets interviewed by Travis grant family wanting to be a horse trainer for them, he meets Travis and his wife Adelia and their children Brendon, Brady Keeley, Sarah and Parker. He’s attracted to keeley but knows she’s off limits being the boss’s daughter. Keeley and Brian get on each others nerves he thinks she’s a spoiled ice princess and she thinks he’s a rogue. Brian gets the job, tours royal meadows the grant farm, meets the horses bad Betty, retired champion prince, king Zeus the offspring of prince. Believes bad Betty could be a racing champion starts training with her, Brian snaps at Keeley when he sees whip scars on a horse thinks she’s responsible but apologises after learning she rescued the horse. He assumes her riding school is for the Rich and privileged kids she responds by calling him a snob, Brian learns from her sister Sarah that Keeley had rescued all the horses at her school and that she charges the rich families but doesn’t charge the ones who are underprivileged or come from abused homes even has a program for them to learn everything for free. Also learns she won an Olympic medal, he apologises and tells her she’s doing great things with the school they share a heated kiss and their mutual attraction grows he surprised to learn she’s never been with a man and distances himself out of respect for her she’s pleased and respects him but still wants him. She seduces him and they have sex. Her father suggests getting her mother to help out with her school since it’s becoming more successful and now her mother is an empty nester asks her mother for help. Keeley rescues another horse from a man named Peter Tarmack and Brian gets defensive when she easily throws large amount of money easily to buy the horse they later name Finnegan feels resentful because he feels he doesn’t deserve her. Ends up hurting her feelings making her feel like all he sees is a spoilt princess from a privileged family, they make up and have sex ages realises she has fallen in love with him. Now needs to convince him to marry her. Brian suggests they race finnegan. On racing day bad Betty wins her race and finnegan wins his race too. Tarmack feels cheated and attacks Keeley Brian attacks Tarmack. Later still angry Brian accuses her of not letting him defend her feels inadequate to her, tells him she loves him and asks him to marry her he agrees.

I couldn’t finish the book unfortunately. Nora Roberts is usually an amazing author and there is a reason she is a best seller. This book however did not peak my interest. The first story was quick and cute but the second I could not get into and unfortunately didn’t finish it.

Another great relaxing refresh reading what my friend Nora wrote years ago, the second story definitely more familiar to me than the first.
