One liver. Two hands. Three fingers. Suddenly teenagers are disappearing, only to wake up drugged, woozy, and missing these body parts. Who's behind this gruesome rampage? Worse yet, who'll be next?
I read this book when I was in elementary school, yes, that's right elementary school. It is part of the Bloodlust Series and this was the only book in the series that I had not re-read because I couldn't find a copy of it! But finally I did, and even as an adult I still found it to be a creepy read. It's like reading a modern version of Frankenstein for the teenage set. The funny thing is teens today can enjoy these books if they ever get re-released since there aren't too many references to things they won't understand. R.L. Stine's books have been re-released, so who knows maybe these will be one day too.
While this book has a kind of interesting story that’s an obvious take on Frankenstein’s monster it’s just very predictable and there are not really any scares. I did like the funeral home as a setting for part of the book and the central characters are pretty likeable. The rest of the book is just average. But it’s an easy read that only took a couple hours. For books that were so hard to find I was expecting so much more.
