Some helpful information on basic techniques and a few more aspirational ones (ie. The heel kick from above), as well as a short history on Muay Thai. While most of the content in this book was good, I really wasn’t a fan of the random photos of female fighters posing sensually in Muay Thai gear - they sure made it awkward to read this book on the subway
Pretty cool book for complete beginners (i.e. Me).
The basic History and Culture of Muay Thai is explained in a simple and concise way in this book as well as description of basic techniques. Muay Thai definitely isn't something you can learn from reading a book but it definitely helps as a complete beginner. I quite enjoyed the small tips on performing techniques correctly and common pitfalls of each movement.
Combinations got a little to complicated, especially as it is in words instead of a photo or video.
Good combination of narrative and pictures. Good mix of information on the ancient art of Muay Thai and practical advice for the beginner (in the first couple of years as a practitioner)
