Pocket-sized version of the textbook, distills the essentials and makes them available for quick reference. New to this edition, 32 color figures, 16 new chapters, 200 new drawings.
Even though the Danforth edition from 20 years ago doesn't have a cover in this website, I am almost fully certain I have read this precise paperback edition around its time of initial publication. I cannot compare to the English edition because I have never read it. I think the Spanish translation was okay. Nothing great, but got the point through.
Since it has been so long ago, I can't recall if this edition had color images. Usually Manual Moderno paperbacks are greyscale without much variety in the typography department. Most likely I found the images usually okay, other images were hard to see due to the greyscale. A lot of information in the book will naturally seem outdated, other topics will be timeless.
