This volume is just as entertaining as the first installment. Only this time, Death Jr gets an internship at the family business over the summer. You'd think that DJ would have learned his lesson from the previous version and not made obviously bad choices, but, if he had, there wouldn't be this fun story! The same weird cast of characters returns to help DJ in his hour of need. If I were DJ's dad, I'd give this boy a good talking to about his self-esteem so that he'll stop getting himself (and the rest of his family) into these messes. But for our sakes, let's hope he doesn't ... that way we'll get more of these fun graphic novels to read!

Man, there's no way around it: summer jobs blow, and it's worse when your boss is actively trying to bring about a "bureaucralypse." Meanwhile DJ's friends are at the worse summer camp ever, so nobody's having a good time.

Except the readers, of course. Because this volume is just as fun as the first.

I had great fun reading this and while it was obvious that there was a first Volume that centred around Pan, I could still read it as a standalone.

Now I am off to get more books of this universe!

Death Jr. gets a summer internship at his dad's business and nearly makes him lose his job.

This a a funny, cutely drawn graphic novel. I enjoyed DJ learning how to deal with the grind that is your first job and the unending paperwork that came with it. DJ's friends are at the summer camp from hell. Everyone ends up helping one another and there's a happy ending for all (even DJ's mom, who decides she's ready to have a job outside the home again).

I wish there had been more of these stories. If you like the art, definitely follow Ted Naifeh to his Courtney Crumrin stories - they were excellent.

So fun! It is summer break and DJ (Death Jr) is interning at Terminal Industries where his dad, the Grim Reaper, is CEO. Meanwhile DJ's friends, Pandora and the gang, go to a summer camp that isn't exactly what it seems. I loved the focus on Terminal Industries and the corporate drama, it is way more fun that it sounds. I appreciated that the focus was on DJ and less on his gang, thank you for focusing on the action instead of forcing an unneeded subplot.

There is also a bonus Halloween issue that involves trick or treating and a very dark ending.

The only negative I have is that this is where the series ends, bummer.

These are super fun graphic novels. I have enjoyed this series thus far. It has good comedic timing and the art is very compelling.

The whole camp thing seemed pointless and come on, that was totally a Nazi camp.

There was one joke about a slit that had me cringe a little

Otherwise it’s another fun romp with DJ and Pan

Another cute and very funny story about Death Jr. and all the ways he messes up. The changes at home and at his summer internship--so dang fun and creative. I wish there were more volumes!!!

Kesäloma on edessä.

Vähän ihastustakin on ilmassa.

the artwork was nice, and I guess kids would enjoy it, but I found the stories a bit too cheesy for my tastes and I thought that some of the jokes were sexist which kinda overshadowed more inventive humour such as the bureaucralypse. Jokes about how different those men and women folks are should remain as the fodder of hack-comedians and I resent them popping up during my comic-reading time.

Truly funny and a lot of fun to read. DJ (Death Jr.) gets a summer internship at his dad's company, but things are not as they seem in the Termination Industry. His friends and their summer at a horrible sleepaway camp are just as fun.

Take the time to go back through the panels and find the hidden jokes and treats you might have missed. My kids loved it and I did too.

I saw this book at the comic book store and picked it up because I was in a sort of twee-goth mood.

The story is funny and very tongue in cheek. This isn't great comics but it is entertaining and funny. I think it is worth reading if you are in the mood for some light-hearted comic book action.

A strange graphic novel, the second in the series, involving the son of the Grim Reaper, named Death. Over the summer he interns at Terminal Industries (his dad's company) and some interesting things happen... Weird, scary, yet amusing.

Meant for kids, but entertaining for adults. So at some point the grim reaper got married and had a kid. And that kid isn't the smartest kid in the world, so misadventures happen. Gotta watch out for that fifth horseman of the apocalypse--he's a tricky one.

I didn't realize this was Vol. 2 since it doesn't say it anywhere on the cover. But I read it and enjoyed it, nonetheless. While I think teens will enjoy the fun darkness of it all, I think the messages of bureaucracy is something adults will appreciate more.

Kind of simplistic plot, but nice drawing. Silly premise, but enjoyable nonetheless. A bit like Teen Titans of the supernatural world, if you know what I mean. Picked this up at thrift, didn't read the first, which might have helped. Son seemed to have enjoyed it.

Cute graphic novel about the Grimm Reaper's son and his adventures. Mostly really liked it because the art is by one of my favorite artists, Ted Naifeh.

I love Ted Naifeh's artwork; that, combined with the humor and surprisingly endearing (considering the main characters) writing by Gary Whitta, makes this a winner. I wish there were more.

This volume was good, but the first compilations was definitely better. Bring back the puns and DJ's friends, they really should be the heart of the story.
