here we go. you guys are gonna hate me for the review.
Hitler says some nasty things about the Jews and he says if America doesn't get rid of them that they will conquer America but the Jew he says does not conquer with artillery, the Jew will work his way into entertainment industry and he demonize your entire nation through it. he basically describes Hollywood.

So i assumed that he's just hating on them but then I go and Google who runs all of Hollywood and to my shock it's all Jews. Hitler predicted this. the Jews will stop at nothing to destroy Christianity Hollywood is their weapon. Adolf Hitler was the Hero that the world was not ready for. the world and especially America owes him an apology. history books should have both side of the war.

The controversy here is Mr. Ford. I recently read Mein Kampf, The NEW [sic.] Ford Translation, published by Elite Minds, Inc. in 2009 (ISBN 9 780977 476077).

Mr. Ford provides no introduction to himself there or, indeed, anywhere. One wonders what qualifies him as a translator in the first place snd such an authoritative one at that.

Similarly, there is hardly any information about him on the internet.

I am a native German speaker and as close as one gets to being a native English speaker without actually having a parent from an English speaking country.

Mr. Ford's translation is awful. Putting it in school grades, a D at the very best.

Translating a text from before WWII presents an additional linguistic challenge: the German spoken today differs in many ways from the language as it used today.

Much of the translation is straightforward. The cringeworthy mistakes are there from the very first chapter and continue.

Mr. Ford also makes the mistake of interpretations, a particular translator's trap that he own becomes ensnared in. Behind all the words looms a fervent admirer of Adolf Hitler and disseminator of Nazi propaganda who wants to give himself the thin veneer of pseudo-academic respectability.

This book is a supplement to the Ford translation of Mein Kampf. It gives some insight into the process of literary translation and an overview of the history of English versions of Hitler's book. It's interesting to note that the establishment has yet to produce a 'definitive' edition for such an important foreign-language work. Not even one loaded down with a thousand 'fact-checking' footnotes and disclaimers. The Ford translation purports itself to be the best thus produced, and much of this text is devoted to demonstrating its superiority over previous ones. It's somewhat unique and there's some interesting trivia in here for fans of Third Reich lore. However it's written for a general audience despite being far too specific to appeal to them, so it can come off as patronizing to the fans.

I had already read Mein Kampf back in the 80s. It was a bit of a hard read with the translation into very old English. Reading the copy of the ad for this book that indicated that there was missing, altered, inaccurate and biased information in the old translations, for obvious reasons mind you, I thought I would re-read the book in a more accurate and truthful current English translation. Unfortunately, that's not what this book is. It is only a comparison of multiple examples of small sections of multiple translations with corrections and a few additional passages removed the original.

I bought the book because I wanted a unbiased perspective on the previous translations . After reading it I definitely got a clear understanding that any other translation of Mein Kampf it’s better than Mr. Ford’s.
