He's smartly natural, simply cynical, and he often got it right. Morrissey and his ideas about this and that bring controversy in my head in finding the meaning of causes.

His opinion on sex (first thing first, first chapter is about sex, of course since we're all curious about his orientation): "Sex is what most people are motivated by, whether they're involved with it or not".

On himself: "I'm selfish in a positive way. Self-preservation and all that. I do send money off to the Blue Cross, animal refuges, things like that".

On politics (in NOVEMBER 1983): "So many people are sad nowadays because of this pretence that we've advanced into some hi-tech computer-age. It's just not true, and computers should't be glorified. Nobody wants a world full of computers, ruled by screen".

On love: "The word 'love' - people can quite easily say they love marmalade or they love mushrooms, or they love people".

On royalty: "I despise royalty. ... , the very idea of their existence in these days when people are dying daily because they don't have enough money to operate one radiator in the house; to me it's immoral".

On meat: "I don't stand on table and say you can't possibly eat that piece of meat, and go into a long monologue about it. I don't try and inflict the way I feel upon other people because that's quite boring. People know what meat is".
