Time After Time

Rate this book
Leah French thought she knew Paul Gregory. They had worked together for years, and he had never been anything but coolly professional.

Then the nightly dreams began, each matching her with Paul in an alarmingly sensuous way. The man she met in her dreams couldn't possibly be the man she saw at the office--or could he?

An assessing gaze, a slip of the tongue and veiled hints pointed to the disturbing possibility that the real Paul and the Paul of her reveries shared one crucial similarity: both wanted Leah!

Time After Time

Advertising executive Leah French has always put her attraction toward her boss, Paul Gregory, aside for professional reasons. Now, however, she finds herself dreaming of the two of them in increasingly intimate situations and when she realizes that he might just be experiencing the same dreams, she understands that she will have to make a life-altering decision. Can she do it?

Simply incredible!
So rarely do older books live up to a re-read. Not only did this one succeed, but it managed to exceed my fantastic recollections of it.

The dream sequences are woven seamlessly into the storyline and only increase the impact of Paul and Leah's intense sexual chemistry and growing emotional attachment. By the time, the end comes, it is impossible not to root for their happily ever after.

All in all, an awesome re-read and I will no doubt be delving into the story again and again in the future.

"Time After Time" is the story of Paul and Leah.
Leah has worked for Paul forever, and both have maintained a cordial relationship- until one night her dreams lead to deviant adventures, and most involve someone who looks suspiciously like her brooding boss Paul!
Love story with heavy paranormal elements. The blurb sounded good, however the back and forth between the dream and real world, as the awkward chemistry made this a tiresome read for me. Was just too bizarre for me!

I remember reading this and thinking what an original and clever premise it was. Need to find it for a re-read and see if it stands up to the test of time after time. (I'm hilarious, I know.)

Wow! This book was amazing. During the summer, I read a lot of books, mainly YA fiction and Romance. The sad thing was that nothing stood out to me. Then I found this book and I enjoyed every single moment of reading it. This is why I like using Goodreads to sort out my books and venture into new genres. There are always hidden gems out there, it's just a matter of finding them.

Anyways, back to the book. The main theme of this novel is the interconnection between dream and reality. Our hero and heroine struggle to find out the underlying meaning behind their dreams and how these dream affect their relationship.

Leah is a girl who we don't know much about at the start, except that she has strong beliefs about love and the definition of love. Paul is a typical workaholic, who is portrayed as cold-hearted and stern. Honestly, I didn't really like Paul at the beginning because of how rude he seemed. All I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised. Throughout the story, I not only witnessed the change in the relationship between Paul and Leah, I also journeyed with them through time and space via dreams and thoughts. I began to understand that these were just two ordinary people, each hiding under a protective cover because they did not have the courage to love.

Lastly, I just wanted to say that this book captivated me from the beginning to the end. So if you guys are looking for a good romance novel with a nice twist, I highly recommend this book!

I’m going to preface this review by saying paranormal romances aren’t my cuppa. With that being said, one of my issues with this book is that the Hero and heroines interactions are played out at night while they’re dreaming for about 50% of the book meanwhile.. months pass by without any change to their actual “real life” relationship. Seriously folks.. by neither look nor deed do these two let slip their amorous nighttime fantasies. (Btw, heroine has loved the hero since she first laid eyes on him 4 years ago and he’s been dreaming erotic dreams of her while sleeping next to his now deceased wife) …..

…. UNTIL the Hero gets drunk after a work celebration and let’s a dream detail slip then BAM they’re on a one week getaway to finally boink in real life lol..

Hero uses this week to get close to her on an emotional level, she thinks it’s purely physical. Throw in a turned down marriage proposal, a race through the airport, a weird daytime hallucination involving the all knowing Merlin the wizard who manifests a plane malfunction to get our girl off the plane and into the Hero’s waiting arms. Cue epilogue HEA.

Its all very sweet with basically ZERO angst. Like I said not my cuppa.

🤦‍♀️ HP’s have ruined me!

Time after Time was surprisingly funny. A lot of romance novelists try to be funny and fail. Billie Green actually made me giggle out loud a couple times. Of course there was the usual romance cheesy lines, but the heroine was overall a strong character who had a great sense of humor.
