I'm not sure the author is aware of this (I rather think not) , but this ostensibly autobiographical tale of a year in the life of two 13-year-old boys at a very isolated boys school is at the same time a psychological study in narrative form of adolescent sexual ascendancy gone shockingly awry -- and in most ways a sound one. The resemblances to L'Histoire d'O in that regard are clear. Rather more than a "cautionary tale", then, it systematically describes and clarifies physical and psychological means used to subdue and domesticate others weaker than oneself, for one's own purposes, as has certainly been done for thousands of years into the past.

But don't let all that distract you from the fact that it is a very well-crafted, hair-raising story.

If you been a boarding school pupil in the past and have terrible memories about being there this is not the book for you for the author Clint Adams and his then room mate Matt assumed alias name it was a year of sheer terror tricked one at a time to go to the school gym while the other was fast asleep due to having the evening meal drugged at a ungodly hour for an new boy ritual the terror begun by being dumped in a shower to be raped and abused by older boys When the time came for them go together Clint tried to fight off the 2 older boys but to no avail Taken off the school grounds to a empty field both boys were battered unmercifully then forced to preform oral sex before being beaten again as the tormentors were not satisfied with their efforts now with body and mind broken down and forced to bow down to their tormentors they begged to be given another chance to do it right as they now knew there was no way out Things get worse for the boys as they are next forced on to cocaine that makes then more open to sex with anybody who wants them including the Head teacher and his staff but they are also rented out to any adult who would pay to abuse them soon the cocaine is replaced by heroin and things take a turn for the worse when two other boys are also forced to into the same nightmare but when an attempt to make a call to cops are made this lead to murder that was covered up and another turn of events FOR Clint and Matt a client known to them who would often take them to paying customers made some admissions about the deaths of the other two boys now he planned to kill them until a fortunate twist of fate saved the day be aware this book has a lot of graphic detail but with valid reasons
