Somewhere between writing checks in the 80's and swiping a piece of plastic today, we missed the significance of the emerging cashless society. But there are reasons to take notice. According to Mark Hitchcock, author of several bestselling prophecy books and a trusted expert in this field, what is happening in the world today is consistent with prophecy written in Revelation 13, which predicts a one-world economy under the rule of the Antichrist. With current research on the global economic, technological, and religious landscape, Hitchcock addresses important questions, The advent of the cashless society is an important one to examine and think through in light of God's Word and His promises.

I would have given this book 5 stars because it was a really good book, but the reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the author believes in a pre-tribulation rapture. The bible clearly states that the rapture does not happen until the end of the tribulation and at the end of the 3 and a half year reign by the Antichrist. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people when those that believe we are going to be raptured at any second (before the Antichrist appears on the scene) find out that we will have to go through it. If you doubt this point of view, please read 'The Rapture Verdict' by Michael T. Snyder. Nevertheless, Cashless is still a very good book, and I still strongly recommend it for all the other useful points it makes.

There are lots of good reasons to keep using cash but religious conspiracy theories are laughable.
Use cash to increase awareness of your spending. Use it to avoid algorithmic tracking. Us it so small businesses aren’t ripped off with transaction fees.
Authors like Hitchcock who sell dozens of titles that are mere rehashes of previous works are just grifters. He won’t turn down your non-cash payments because getting money is more important than helping people.
Great book, but be weary of the timeline used. Parts of it are out of order and misinterpreted....as well as the whole rapture doctrine. There is no rapture where people will be taken away to avoid the tribulation; Matthew 24:21,22 and Mark 13:19,20 (Jesus speaking) For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved (survive); but for THE ELECT's sake whom Hehath chosen, He hath shortened the days.
