I think that this book was so intense and such an adventure if you are into that kind of genre. It really gets you to get to know Ed and what the others thought if Ed! A real read that you don’t want to put down! I would really recommend this book!

I really enjoyed this book, number 3 from the series 'The Medusa Progect' which was from the eyes of Ed. The genre of this series is definetely action however, there are bits of mystery throughout the book. Some devestating events occurred, though this hooked me to the book and i couldn't stop reading it! Towards the end, although it was page turning, i noticed that it began to get a bit predictable or at least it did for me. None the less it was left on a cliffhanger and this helped to link it to the next book in the series. Overall, i would definitely reccomend this book and it is one of my favourites in the series!

The Rescue is book 3 in The Medusa Project.

I found this book to be a little better than the second one. There was a lot going on but I managed to keep up. Also, a stranger helping you multiple times suggest there is an ulterior motive or they are not who they seem!! I thought it was pretty obvious who Stanley really was, once I'd realised that only Nico had seen Carter. The death at the end was quite sad though... Additionally, I these books sort of reminded me of L.J. Smith's Dark Visions Series.

This was another amazing book from the Medusa Project series. It was fast paced with action and suspense unfolding on every page. This time the book was being told by Ed another one of the characters with the Medusa gene. His power is to read and find out what people are thinking through their mind as well as speak to them in their mind. I found the ending particularly exciting iting as there was lots of action. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who likes a fast paced exciting read.

I think this is my baby book, I like it when edwards gets his point of view now and as the story gets by he got braver and braver, confident rn. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA Now, they are a TEAM not only nico, ketty, dylan and ed but ONE TEAM in Medusa Project, for me the story gets the hype and I love ittt........

P.S this is where I laugh off, at some point here I'm seeing them in the movie fantastic 4 specifically, and I laugh out when the author think they are in the characters in the Scooby doo finding mysteries, lol!

Oh my goodness, what a ride! The plot was completely filled with drama and I loved reading it! However, Ed’s point of view was a little bit boring. I would have preferred Nico’s, but I understand that it was necessary for the book to be from Ed’s point of view in order to move the book along. The vocabulary used was childish, but I really liked the plot.

I didn't really like his book because there was too much going on I didn't know how to keep up with the amount of change that there was compared to the first two but there was still some surprising things like Luz dying at the end because I didn't think foster would do it.

THIS WAS EASILY MY FAVOURITE OF THE 6 BOOKS AS IT IS FROM ED'S POINT OF VIEW WHICH IS MY FAVOURITE CHRACHTER IN THE BOOK AS HE IS LIKE ME AN AVEWRAGE GUY WITH AVERAGE LOOKS AND NOT AS COCKY AS NICO. ALSO BEEN SENT MAINLY IN SPAIN WAS ANOTHER PLUS, EASILY THE BEST BOOK IN THE ENTIRE SERIES.

a good book, but i read it a long time ago, for spite 💀, i do think the trope is very interesting, but the series gets quite tedious, and very elongated, one of those books that don’t necessarily catch your eye ygm? ehhh not bad 👍

I enjoyed this book massively for many reasons. It was quite different to have the story set in Spain other than Fox Academy. Most of the book is about the discipline the four teenagers had to face in this camp they had to go to. It was very hi- octane and a great book to lose myself in. I preferred this book to the other two I have read so far in the series but that could all change.

The Rescue is told in the perspective of Ed, the telepath. I found it very interesting to find out how exactly his telepathy works, as well as watching Ed experiment with the limits of it. The Rescue picks of where The Hostage left off, with the Medusa Gang being transported to a training camp in Spain due to the events of the previous book.

Not everything is as it seems at this camp as it becomes apparent within the first few chapters. Oh and the camp sucks. I would call it a behaviour training camp more than a 'training camp'. Rich parents send their miss behaving children to it, and the Medusa crew are not taking any of that, especially Dylan.

Since the Medusa crew are forced to keep their powers on the down-low, they are not allowed to use them, but the camp administrator, Senor Fernadaz finds out about Ed's telepathy and things just go from bad to worse.

The Rescue was reasonably actioned packed but still very predictable. The best point about it is that we get to find out more of how Ed's telepathy works.

Sophie McKenzie's The Hostage #3 from the series called The Medusa project is a very fun, exciting, and cliff hanging book. There are 7 important characters in this book which are Ed,Ketty,Dylan,Nico, Blake Carson the illegal weapon dealer from the first book of the series,Geri Patterson, and Señor Fernandez. After the bomb situation finished and Ketty lied on the bomb situation, Geri sends the team Nico,Ed,Ketty, and Dylan to a camp which will teach them manners in Spain. Señor Fernandez finds out about Ed's special ability so he takes him to a pub almost everyday to show and make money. Ed took Dylan with him to the pub with Señor Fernandez's permission and they get out Dylan helps him out and gets captured but Ed went out successfully. He finds a british man(Blake Carson) saying he will help Ed and that he is a man in the electricity company in Spain for a scout. He Helps Ed rescue Dylan,Ed,Nico, and Ketty but then they ride a helicopter and Nico, and Dylan notices it is Blake Carson! So Blake Carson takes him onto a boat and asks add to mind read and find out where the weapons are. Ed says the church and they go to the church. The team finds out they are going to kill the family who was keeping weapons so the team let's them escape and try for themselves to escape. Can they Escape?

This book was even better than the first two, definitely the best book in the series so far. I would definitely say that this book is more of a 3.5 than a 3, but I don’t think it is quite a 4, but hopefully this series will get better and maybe one will just get a 4 star rating. I loved this book because it was fast paced and action packed, and I read this book in one sitting, because it just really grabs your interest and because it is a fast paced book you want to keep reading on. This book was from Ed’s POV and I liked this because Ed was a character you didn’t learn a lot about in the first two books, but in this book he really developed. He started off shy and reserved, but then in this book, he accepts his ability, and with this acceptance comes confidence and courage. I loved seeing him meet Luz, try to develop his ability, help his friends and I loved seeing him try to make the best of an impossibly bad situation and make the best decision for everyone around him. Plus, the end of the book with him trying to save Tsonga and his family was absolutely phenomenal, because the Ed at the start of the book would not have done that. Overall, I did like the book, and I am looking forward to reading the next book and reading from Dylan’s POV.

This book is really awesome! I was a bit weary to read it at first because I hadn't read this series in a while (I started with the one on World Book Day, and I haven't actually read the first book yet DX) I agree that things are definately improving, and the last volume should be particularly exciting.
Ed is my all-time favourite character, even though in every book except this one he's been portrayed as really weedy. I'm super happy that he got the shiny yellow cover all to himself XD I'm also really glad that he decided to change his outlook on things and became more assertive, and that he finally got a girl that was actually willing to stay with him (I do like Ketty, but I was really sad when I found out that they used to go out and that she broke up with him for someone as showy as Nico!). I also really liked Luz, and I wished that she'd lived...
I really really REALLY hope that Dylan and Ed get together at the end, because she was acting sorta friendly towards him at the end of the book. *Fingers crossed*
So, yeah. I wouldn't recommend this to kids, though, because of Dylan's outbursts of foul mouth XD Maybe for 12+?

For me, this book was quite good. I neither love it nor hate it. It's fast-paced, thrilling and full of exciting twists. You're probably wondering why I don't LOVE it? Meh, I like action books, but romance and paranormal mysteries remain my favourites, which is why this book isn't up there.
One character did irritate me throughout this book-Ketty. She seems quite childish and weak in comparison to some of the others, and is oblivious to the fact that Ed is better than Nico. But, on the other hand, I did like the other characters.
Dylan was quite interesting. Her medusa power isn't as mentioned as the others' but it's still pretty cool. She does use the word 'freaking; a lot, and I did want a bit of a change sometimes, but that's just a silly, small point.
Either way, if you want a short, exciting read then this is ideal. The characters don't stick with you, but the story keeps you hooked.

I loved the Medusa Project series (this is the third in the series) but this is one of my favourites because it was written from the point of view of Ed - one of my favourite characters.

The title of the books has nothing really to do with the actual plot of the story.

It is a suspenseful and very much page-turning read but it is VERY necessary to start with the first book and read all of the books - your guaranteed a great ending!

There are lots of surprises in it. Be sure to read Hunted!!
