Borrowed from a Church friend and it was an excellent book with lots of relevant up-to-date information and resources for the layperson to get more out of their bible readings and to inspire and encourage Christian’s to really appreciate what the Bible is and it’s power to transform.

The book also included a guide on Bible versions and the author’s insights were welcome alongside the consensus.

Highly recommend. Very approachable read for any new Christians, wayward Christians finding their way back to the Lord or anyone that’s in a Bible reading lull or can’t find the motivation or discipline to form a habit.

The book also inspired me to challenge myself to learn the whole of Romans, as it was mentioned in the Bible. So I look forward to trying to memorise the whole book.

I was rather disappointed in this book. I was hoping for something that would detail various methods of study and practical ways to make bible study a regular part of your life. Instead it focused on why we should want to read the Bible and the various versions of the Bible and how to choose one. There was one chapter that went over different methods such as topical, word study, person study or book study, but even that chapter only glossed over how to approach those methods and instead listed out the various study aids that could and should be used in those instances
