“Fog the sage, and powder the air with the rough-‘n-ready A.W. Hart!” —Peter Brandvold, bestselling author of the Yakima Henry series
As is normal with multi book heroes, his survival skills stretch belief. However, it's an interesting plot line, great characters, and just generally an interesting read in a great setting.
Thoroughly enjoyable series. The author has a fantastic power of description. The fight scenes, of which there are many, but never boring. He writes it as if a sports announcer was describing a fight. You can actually picture the moves. The books are exciting, interesting, extremely violent, yet there are tender moments. I was sorry when I finished the series. I hope there is more Concho coming.
I enjoyed the set of novels by A.W.Hart. High energy , lots of action. Great character development and insight into the lives of a little known Native American tribe. A real page turner couldn’t stop reading. I highly recommend this set . The author has really done his research on Indian Tribes.
What an exciting group of books Poncho Texas Ranger half black and half Kickapoo Indian A large man an honorable man former Army Ranger Don't mess with him You will be sorry Hope you will enjoy these stories as much as I did
I enjoyed this book so much, it was full of action and hard to put down. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book that keeps your interest from the first page till the last page.
Texas Ranger Concho Ten-Wolves is a likeable guy - except that many on the Rez don't like him. He is half Kickapoo, which makes him part of the Nation, but he's also a focused lawman, which puts him at odds with some powerful individuals on the Rez and seemingly everywhere he goes. This series is a page turner, one in which each novel is linked to the preceding one in some way. Ranger Ten-Wolves first stops a domestic terrorist attack in an Eagle Pass mall, only to learn that the attack was only the tip of a very large criminal iceberg - and those criminals want Ten-Wolves dead. Council's actions also get him in trouble with his boss, another Ranger whose more concerned about promoting himself into a political career than in bringing criminals to justice. Fortunately for Ten-Wolves, a life outside the norm has prepared him to operate as a "lone wolf", using his Native American skills, his Army Ranger training, and his devotion to the mission of the Texas Rangers to " shake the trees ", follow his gut, and solve his cases. This collection is a rough and tumble set of tales set largely in and around the southwest Texas town of Eagle Pass and the nearby Kickapoo Reservation. I enjoyed the collection, although the author makes his protagonist a little more like Superman rather than Wyatt Earp. Still, it's a good read, and I recommend it overall.
I liked the unique aspect of being a full-blood Indian, also being a Texas Ranger, and having this compatible relationship across the law enforcement spectrum.
Unique with a one woman stand, and not bedding all the other characters.
Redundant phrase’s really slow down the story’s progress. Overly descriptive and repetitive sentences might lead the reader to believe the author is being paid by the word. Got in the way of a really good tale.
You can just keep on writing Concho Ten-Wolves stories. Don’t stop. I love your writing style, and character development. I wish every writer had your proofreader. Hardly any typos or mistakes. I read the series in 3 days. So good.
One of the better books that I had the pleasure of reading. Character development was excellent and the story line was very interesting. If you like casual but well written books then O highly recommend this one
A good, pleasant read that was fast moving, interesting and full of action. Concho, is like " Rambo ", only he is of part Native and African origin. The author has certainly put a lot of interesting detail into writing this series.
Freakin ' good read. Lots of action, enough twists and turns to keep the brain engaged and the adrenaylin flowing.a three dimensional protagonist with some really interesting antagonist.
I throughly enjoyed this series. It was very hard to put down. The author is very knowledgeable about Native American life. I was impressed. Loved the series.
