Want a Toy Box that has everything but the kitchen sink? If you love the idea of everyday objects used in unusual ways, then this is the one for you. In A Small Sphere of Influence, by Jay Lygon, Tim's life is changed when his Sir is hit by an out of control car. Now all his Sir does is sit around all day, showing no interest in their power games anymore. When Tim discovers an unorthodox way to use his Sir's little red therapy ball, he think he just might have found a way to bring things back to life.
In Home Team, by Anah Crow & Dianne Fox, Denny is still feeling pretty low. His injured leg is causing problems and he knows that any day now, his partner Sully will have to go back on the road. Sully just wants to help Denny feel better and find a way to stay home with his lover. Will a visit to a local track and a raid of the kitchen and laundry closet help him accomplish both?
And in Catch and Release by Syd McGinley, Dr. Fell helps Tommy recover from his shopping addiction and earn back the money the foundation spent to buy him from his owner. Is it punishment or reward when Dr. Fell uses fishing tackle in a most unusual way?

In “A Small Sphere of Influence” by Jay Lygon, Tim is desperate to help his Sir get back to normal after a terrible car accident has left him a “grouchy jerk” due to pain with every movement and limbs that don’t work quite the way they are supposed to. While focused on his own pain, Sir has neglected Tim who tries to help any way he can but just seems to be in the way. When Sir’s red rubber therapy ball rolls out into the grass one day and he goes to fetch it, Tim gets an idea of a way to break his boredom and finds that his Sir responds to his little game. This is a touching story about a boy who desperately wants to help his Sir improve so they can return to the way they were before the accident. Tim is perfect at the game he plays, using whatever he can to coerce his Sir to work at his physical therapy. It is obvious that these characters love one another deeply, and that sometimes the best way to get through a rough patch is to try something new.
“Home Team” by Anah Crow and Dianne Fox is the second story in the Pit Road series about Denny and Sully. Denny’s leg is still hurting and he can’t yet walk but having Sully around is the best medicine ever, even if Denny can’t bring himself to admit it out loud. Sully can’t believe the level of pain his lover is having to deal with and is determined to find a way to stay home and help his lover feel better. Especially if it involves getting “up to no end of no good” with the sling that he recently purchased. When Sully gathers a few household items, he helps take Denny’s mind off the pain for a short while. This is an excellent story about men who are there for each other in every way. I really enjoyed these characters and especially Denny. He struggles with his feelings for Sully and finds it hard to express them in words. He truly loves the man and is still surprised that a man like Sully would want to be with him. When Sully bombards him with sexual stimulation, Denny is able to let go and express what is in his heart and the result is wonderfully heartwarming. The trust and desire they have for one another is beautiful and I can’t wait to read more about these men and their relationship!
“Catch and Release” by Syd McGinley is yet another fantastic installment in the Dr. Fell series. Fans should not get too excited by the story starting with, “I have a boy.” You must remember the timing of this story which is the weekend after Lost and Found 2: Exotic Pets, before John runs into his elf. In this case, the boy is Tommy who was rescued from his stripper job and his master by the foundation and left in John Fell’s very capable Dom hands. It is the weekend after the retreat, and John is dealing with not only Tommy but also Owen and Rinnie who are having their own problems.
This wonderful story gives us a view of the beginning of Tommy and Dr. Fell’s six-month contract and the issues that Tommy needs help to overcome. It also showcases how much John cares for the subs that are in his care, that he cannot let a boy be mistreated in any way without acting. I love every Dr. Fell story and this is no exception. Watching him with each of the subs, especially Tommy and twink, is captivating and a joy to read. The scene with the ingenious use of fishing tackle is amusing and erotic, and just one of the fabulous moments of this story. There is also quite a bit of humor here with Tommy and his showtunes, the underling D/s subtext of a Disney movie, the boys drooling over John’s construction stuff, “Google-fu” and twink who is full of energy and hilarity is inevitable when he is around. Fans will love this story as always and readers new to the “Fell-i-verse” will be clamoring for more ~ just find a “Fellion” and we can point you in the right direction!
Each of these stories uses different everyday objects in a most unique way that is both fun and erotic making this collection quite enjoyable. Each story involves characters needing help of some kind, and the other characters are there to support and guide them. I had a great time reading each of these stories and will surely be reading this collection again in the future!
While the overall rating for the collection was only 2 stars, this is basically because I didn't like 2 of the 3 stories.
I did really like "Home Team" by Anah Crow and Dianne Fox. It was the second story about Denny and Sully, an injured race car driver and a mechanic who are struggling to adapt their lives around the injury. I liked the realism of the 'macho' guys, one of whom doesn't want to admit needing help and the other who doesn't know how to give it without insulting his lover. I gave it 5 stars.
