Dr. Coppes explains what constitutes the difference between 'reformed' and 'calvinist.' 'Calvinist' or TULIP, is actually a very narrow term, whereas 'reformed' is more all-encompassing, including church government, interpretation of the scriptures, evangelism, and others. The chapter on baptism was quite illuminating.
This book assumes the reader is already persuaded of Calvinistic doctrine. It requires a working understanding of what the reformed faith is and often does not attempt to engage with the opposing perspective in any meaningful way.
