Calvinism is a world-embracing view that involves not only salvation proper, but evangelism, worship and all things in life. This readable and challenging book is an excellent introduction for individuals and groups alike. Each chapter ends with questions and further rescources for advance study.
Dr. Coppes explains what constitutes the difference between 'reformed' and 'calvinist.' 'Calvinist' or TULIP, is actually a very narrow term, whereas 'reformed' is more all-encompassing, including church government, interpretation of the scriptures, evangelism, and others. The chapter on baptism was quite illuminating. This book assumes the reader is already persuaded of Calvinistic doctrine. It requires a working understanding of what the reformed faith is and often does not attempt to engage with the opposing perspective in any meaningful way.
