Charley, a cyborg vampire who does the Vatican's dirty work, is the thrall of the local vampire playboy Johnny Rayflo. As the two fight crime-and each other-hilarity, violence and sacrilege ensue!
Rayflo gets mixed up with a devious incubus who nearly tears him to shreds. Meanwhile, Charley heads to Italy to uncover the secret behind the mysterious drug known as VASSALORD. There, he infiltrates a mafia prison, where he finds a most disturbing scene. Will Charley get out with his body-and mind-intact?
Watykan, wampiry, chciwa firma farmakologiczna i teraz jeszcze włoska mafia.
3, 5 for the gorgeous cyborg and body horror illustrations and the thrilling ideas that come from that, so good looking!
phew, this went on to be quite confusing and all over the place, and while I loved many, many ideas in it... the execution could have been more streamlined and controlled. unfortunately it was a bit too much all at once, but I still liked the individual ideas brought up very much :)
, hot, hot! The art (beautiful, sexy, and consistently well done), the story, the characters... all of it. I'm surprised I didn't need a fire extinguisher on my nightstand for this one *LOL* Sure, I love (almost) all things vampire and all things yaoi, so I may be a bit biased, but I'd still highly recommend picking this manga up.
This volume has a bit more plot than previous volumes, which makes three all the more engaging.
The scenes between Johnny and Charlie are complicated, sexy, erotic, heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time, as well as being dark and somewhat twisted at times.
This volume had some interesting scenes and character development, making the main cast come off as more three-dementional and real than they had, for me at least, previously.
The highlight of volume three? Undercover Cherry. 'Nuf said.
The further I get into this series, the less inclined I am to read any of the words. I really do not care about the plot. I mostly just look at the pictures and read the parts where Rayflo and Charley are together. It seems sometimes like there are two different stories here, being combined rather poorly into one. A violent action fantasy and an angsty bdsm romance. It doesn't make for a great reading experience. I love looking at the art, though. Rayflo is extremely attractive and there are a lot lf very sexy moments which make this a fun and somewhat worthwhile experience.
This is the most gory volume so far. Rayflo’s past comes back to haunt him and it’s not pretty. The relationship between him and Charley is more evident here and we see the caring each has for each other. The whole plot about the Vassalord drug is the confusing issue here. I believe the problem is that not everything is explained in the transitions. Things just pop up all over the place. It doesn’t flow very well. But the character side plots and behaviors are interesting. I’m still flipping those pages.
It is still a bit convoluted in terms of the reading experience, but the plot is getting a bit deeper now. Charley is now investigating the drug known as Vassalord, while Rayflow has to deal with an incubus. Just enough stuff in here to keep me reading the series. Nice escapist light stuff. At any rate, the two vampires here are still better than anything Meyer ever put out, so that makes an additional reason some people may want to pick up the Vassalord series.
Funny and enjoyable as always, but now I can see Vassalord is getting its way and there's much interaction between main characters at least in a shonen ai level but with another things to consider in the plot.
