It was a good read as far as Cornuke's work goes, but it wasn't as good as some of his other offerings. The whole Ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia story has far to many holes in it for me to view it as being much more than legend and conjecture.

I got a signed copy from Robert Cornuke because I went on a trip with him to Egypt and Ethiopia. It was fun! I got to meet some of the people that were talked about in the book. Of course I also got to see many of the places described. I liked the author he was cool. I mean we didn't exactly hit it off fabulously (lol) I mean we aren't buddies now or anything but he was nice and he did seem to give the impression of a bold character. The trip I was on was tame and mild and not at all crazy like the ones he describes such as going to Saudi Arabia and such. To bad he won't bring me along on some of those trips. I'm not sure about the premise or whether the real ARK OF THE COVENANT is truely in Axum but it was a fun read and a nice experience to travel to some of these places with such amazingly rich and interesting history regardless.

In Relic Quest, Robert Cornuke actuals combines two stories. The first is his actual search for Mt. Sinai. While this is an authentic first hand telling of this adventure, readers will get the feel of an action-adventure fiction book. It is hard to believe someone has been to these places and done these things. It is exciting! In the second section the author tells readers of his journey to find the lost Ark of the Covenant. With his way of drawing readers into his story, Cornuke will have readers wishing to be on the trek themselves. His theories are interesting and believable as is his book, Relic Quest.
