This book should be titled "Tabitha Punishing (the reader)".
So TSTL (too stupid to live).
Here's the thing: I might not like to all the heroines I read, I just have to relate to her condition. The more I read, the more holes I see in the story.
For example:
Seriously, WTF?
At one point early in the story, Captain Keer reflects on Tabitha and believes that if anyone else behaved like her, he'd think their actions would be reckless. But to him, he see her as independent.
Okay, that's great to hear but there's nothing in the writing that shows the readers why we should believe it.

Things have been going wrong for Sergeant Tabitha Bryce ever since she joined the crew of Pride of Justice. But things really hit rock bottom when, in an attempt to prove herself to her commanding officer, Captain Keer, Tabitha tries to pull off a one-person sting operation and bring down a notorious slave trader. Much to her horror, Tabitha not only finds herself captured and on the auction block, but her most intimate areas have been bound by a thin, silvery cord. A cord which puts her in sexual torment and that won’t come off without some very special, very personal attention from her new master. And when Keer rescues Tabitha at the auction by purchasing her, both discover that life aboard the Pride of Justice is about to get a whole lot hotter.
Evangeline Anderson can raise the temperature of a room in a heartbeat, and nothing showcases that better than Punishing Tabitha. It’s a divinely sensual story with a lot of heart, and immediately upon finishing the book I wanted to read it again.
Tabitha has lots of spark. She acts rashly, much to her detriment, but it’s easy to sympathize with her need to prove herself. Keer is a hero worth sighing over. His outward calm is belied by his inner passions and I loved watching him struggle to present a professional demeanor towards Tabitha when inside he was falling in love with her. Miscommunication and incorrect assumptions are the biggest obstacles Tabitha and Keer have to overcome in their relationship, and I couldn’t put Punishing Tabitha down because I so wanted them to see them find happiness with one another.
I cannot write about Punishing Tabitha without mentioning Ms. Anderson’s talent for penning pulse-pounding love scenes. Keer and Tabitha generate so much erotic energy I’m surprised my computer screen didn’t burn out! Physically and emotionally, Keer and Tabitha were perfectly matched, making Punishing Tabitha a fantastic and engaging story that you’ll want to read again and again. Joyfully Recommended!

This is one of those alien ones. I never really get the alien genre of erotica. But I must say it suited the plot here. I don't think anything else would have worked because the reason they need to ... exchange bodily fluids ... is due to the fact that there is some sort of space rope that needs to be taken off. Without that space rope there would be no plot.
This story was short and satisfying - sort of like eating a mediocre snack: I'm not going to rant and rave about it while I binge, but I did enjoy it even if it will only sustain me until I sit down for a bigger more-fulfilling meal.

This wasn't a favorite of mine. Anderson has better Scifi stories in her Kindred series and Charlie's Bargain.
Tabitha was a little annoying and Keer wasn't much better. It felt like two mismatching puzzle pieces being forced together when these two got down and dirty.
I wouldn't recommend this one. :/

WELL.. This was a short I think about 70 pages I wish it was longer since the story was great...
Here we have Tabitha, a go getter trying to prove her worth in her job as a intergalactic police officer.. But the captain of the ship ignores her, her ideas every thing about her.. it may have something to do with her first meeting with him.. Her first superior set her up for a downfall. She told Tab to get cleaned up and dressed and then go meet the Captain in 30 minutes.. well tab jumps in the shower with lavender bubbles drenching her body she hears a woosh of her door to her room opening WHO IS IT??????
Well it is her CAPTAIN!!!!!!! what can she do but come to attention sulute and allow the fragrant bubbles just slide off her nipples and down her body he looks and looks and tells her what he thinks which is not good...... In his head he looks... and likes.. but he will not act.. so he pushes her aways far away and lets the whole ordeal go and tells her next time she is out of uniform when she is to be IN UNIFORM,, she will be reprimanded...
The crew is going after a criminal 'V' His is a slaver and nobody has been able to prove it or catch him in the act, he has kidnapped princesses, just to give you a example of his prowess as a criminal who gets aways with crime over and over.....
Sooo Tab gets the bright idea to leave ships dock and go after this criminal herself and bring him in.. to show her cap she can do good like the rest of the crew but she gets her self caught is what she does. Now she is naked and chained to a whipping pole and has been forced to have Drusinian love nots attached to her body over her shoulders, down her back, over and around her breast, nipples, down her belly, holding apart her bits... around her clit and has this love honey they all it shoved up her well you get the idea shoved every where.... front door and back... the love knots cannot be taken off, except by her new Master she is to be sold to IF HE WANTS TO TAKE THEM OFF!!! She is in contanst need of relief sexually but cannot relesae herself, only her master can cause release and to get the love knots.
Well Tab is not on ship at role call... Captain Kerr finds out she has gone to bring in V on her own... and boy is he mad.... He finds her. chained nude to a pole with men bidding on her....
Now what? Protocal says no money can be used to release her thru the police head quarters, she is on her own. Unless Kerr decides to be her master, Thousands of credits are flying with bids and the men bidding wtilll eat her up... killing her.
What will happen?

This is the first time I have read anything by this author other than the Kindred novels. I had been planning on trying this one and since a friend loaned it to me I decided to try it right away. Very glad I did give it a read because I found myself really loving this. This was not like the books I had previously read but I could see the same hand at work. The characters came to life right away and made me want to get into what they doing immediately. This pulled me in right away and I did not want to stop even to sleep, but I had to, and finished this the first thing next day. Loved the setting, loved the Captain, loved the idea!
Sergeant Tabitha Bryce made a name for herself on her first big sting on Mars and has been courted by several police agencies who would love to have her. She has her sights set on Intergalactic Enforcement because they go out into the galaxy after major criminals for months at a time, and to serve there would make her career. She is taken on one of the ships and on her first day makes the mistake of meeting the Captain in the nude and mispronounces his name multiple times. After that she is not included in any landing parties or even in the planning of raids.
When they go after a notorious slaver Tabitha decides that she will do it on her own and impress the Captain and the rest of the crew. What she manages to do instead is be captured and put up for auction as a sex slave. Everything that happens to her after that is well deserved, but Tabitha is defiant to the end.
Hot, hot, hot!!! The story worked for this the whole way. I love science fiction and to have it paired with a nice erotic romp makes it even better. I say give this a read and if it does not make you hot, then you need to give it up.

I would firmly put this in the erotica, not romance category.
Alien erotica allows for many things, love honey, love knots that squeeze sensitive bits, matings, serums that are matched, uniforms that at once cover yet reveal the body shape, trading of sexual slaves, unstoppable men who can go all night, Zentorians, humanoids, and lots of opportunities for the buildup of chemistry, the way only EA can do it. I have read many of her books and enjoyed all of them, blushing my way through most scenes, and learning a lot about the world she builds with her stories. In that sense this one absolutely did not disappoint, although it could have been longer and better built up, it was satisfying to read. If you like this stuff, go for it I say!

Scifi erotica. Female Sargent on a intergalactic policing ship, tries to prove her worth by going after one of the most slippery criminals all by herself, without telling anyone... really?
OK, plot is weak and rewrite from many other slave/auction stories. Although the sex was good and the chemistry was there between the characters, the suddenly in love (at the same moment) and the thinking the other hates/thinks low of the other, was way repetitive.
Good sex and chemistry, reused plot, boring self questioning.

Who wouldn't with a commanding officer like Kerr? Fighting there attraction towards each other leads to trouble and leaves Bryce at Kerr's mercy literally.
Having been ignored and passed over to bring in a criminal Bryce decides that to show Kerr that she can do the job and bring in t bad guy on her own the only problem is it all goes wrong and she managed to get herself captured and sold as a sex slave.
When Kerr buy's her out of his own money to save her it leads to the ultimate chemistry....

The title isn't really a great representation of the plot for starters. The female lead is immature. Lacking details and dialogue that would benefit the story. Even with these issues, I must say I liked it. I don't typically read scifi erotica, so the novelty of the story is new to me. The issues and dilemmas worked because it was scifi and I really liked the leading man.

What a hot little surprise. This is only my second read by Evangeline Anderson, but I've got to say I'm hooked. Ms. Anderson has a knack for building a really good story line stuffed full of great characters in a very short amount of time.
I went into Punishing Tabitha expecting short erotic fluff and actually got an interesting and engaging story. Well done Ms. Anderdon, I'll be coming back for more.

Despite the fact that this story spans five months plus, I found Tabitha's declaration of love a bit premature. Keer's, being of another race, was a tad more believable. However, Tabitha just ticked me off. She couldn't do anything right.

If you're looking for a hot romp in space, no one does it better than Evangeline Anderson. Unlike her Kindred Bride series, you don't have to carve out a large amount of time to read the whole thing in one sitting and as a stand alone you won't be lost if you haven't read the whole series.

Not the most original but a hot, quick read. EV's creativity shows but the heroine was a little too TSTL for me. However, I did love the tie-in to Planet X via mention of the Drusinians.

This was a very interesting read I enjoyed the plot and also the characters which had been written so thoroughly and in great depth.
The scenes have been written extremely well and the plot had a great amount of detail that drew you right in as the reader and this entailed a total hold on my attention so that you will not put the book down until you reach the end.
Bryce finds herself to be at Kerrs mercy and is clear to see that they have resisted each other and she is determined to show her worth and efficiency so when she is determined to bring in a criminal by herself. Unfortunately, her plan goes awry and she is captured and then sold as a sex slave.
She is purchased by the last person she would have expected however she now belongs to her new master Kerr and is determined to ensure he knows her feelings on the matter. There is quite a spark between these two individuals, to discover the outcome read this wonderful plot and enjoy every moment of this terrific book.

From the blurb that came with this book, Punishing Tabitha by Evangeline Anderson, I realized a couple of things. One, Tabitha is desperately trying to prove herself, and, two, Captain Keer is a seasoned captain who does not suffer fools gladly. I also see that Tabitha is headed for trouble that takes Keer himself to rescue her. She is being sold as a slave, tied up with a silver cord, and only her new master can free her. Then the kicker, can Keer free her without losing his heart. But it did not tell me who was punishing Tabitha and why. If this were military punishment, the Captain would not have his heart involved.
Having read Ms. Anderson’s writings for years, I knew there would be steamy scenes and a happily-ever-after. But nothing prepared me for how hot the steamy scenes would be. Publishing Tabitha is more a novelette than a novel, but I wanted the storyline to continue. If you enjoy Erotic Sci-Fi, this one fits perfectly. Once again, Ms. Anderson has given us a keeper.

To get out of this little predicament will mean that Captain Keer is going to have to show her just how much emotion he really has. The question will be if Tabitha can survive her soul been scorched and submit to her master.

A short, HOT scifi novella between a stoic, sexy captain and his impetuous subordinate! Tabitha wasn't my favorite person and gave me massive Aries vibes. Now that I write this review, she reminds me of a beautiful but incredibly defiant Italian girl whose class I subbed for.
Captain Keer's love for her seemed to come out nowhere, so I think if Evangeline ever wants to return to the story, the in-between moments between her joining the ship and sneaking out to take down V could have been fleshed out more. Also, I needed more of a conclusion, possibly another scene as these two resisted confessing their feelings for each other as long as possible lol.

Could have been longer.
I enjoy this authors books. This one was no different. It was a pretty unique story. A hot and steamy connections between the two characters. Very enjoyable as they worked to get their HEA. My only issue with this book is that it was short. I sat down and read it in one sitting. I would have loved for it to be longer with a bit more of a drawn out storyline. Unfortunately is was not. But it was enjoyable to read despite that.
