It's Halloween in the small suburban town of Wakefield, Massachusetts. While parents take their children trick-or-treating, and others throw costume parties, a swarm of meteorites enter the atmosphere and crash to the Earth below. Inside the meteorites are small parasitic worms, no larger than maggots. The worms quickly infect the corpses at a local cemetery and so begins the rise of the undead. The walking dead soon get the upper hand, with no one believing the truth . . . that the dead now walk. Will a small group of survivors live through the zombie apocalypse? Or will they too succumb to the Deadfall.
