THE HAT CHECK BOY is neither sentimental, nor nostalgic for a time that never existed in inner city Manchester, but it’s damn angry and frustrated about where it’s currently at. It is a poignant and darkly comedic tale about three dysfunctional, authentic characters, who are all too easy to dismiss/despise, and yet you’ll see past their flaws and find yourself rooting for them.
