This book perfectly describes the sacrifice most footballers take to reach the top, in this book Dan Freedman details the perfect emotions a footballer makes for glory whilst also making it entertaining.

Dan Freedman wrote the books because he loves football and wants everyone to feel the same passion he has for the sport. A book written for children, even makes me as an adult captivated by the story in the book.

Jamie Johnson series is one of the best I have read, being able to follow the footsteps of a young lad wanting to go all the way, facing trials and tribulations and in the end, even if he doesn’t win the big trophy, he still won.

Jamie Johnson has a football gift. He played above his age as a child and was on the world stage as a young man. His success reflected hard work and some luck. After being injured in a car accident, he worked very hard to make a full recovery and continue his football career, but testifying against another international player for match-fixing came back to haunt him. A vicious payback tackle on the field causes a career-ending in the jury.
Jamie must decide if he should withdraw from the team, let everyone down, or play on in the final and risk permanent injury. What does Jamie decide?
I enjoy the details about his campaign and hard work. Jamie had some hard questions to answer, and his thoughts added richness to the story.
Recommended for readers ten years and older.

This book is all about how Jamie Johnson is asked to play for both England and Scotland. He chose to play for Scotland but Matheus Bartorelli was released from prison and wants to end Jamie Johnson's career by fouling him badly. My favourite bit about this book is the determination that Jamie shows to keep on playing in the world cup. Saddly for Jamie Scotland lose to MAtheus Bartorelli's Argentina and the England to come Fourth place. My favourite character was a young girl who cheated on Jamie because of her mischevious qualities. I learnt from this book to never give up.

Good book for football lovers. Really short for a book, but still a classic Jamie johnson read. The plot is good, and it's still an OK read, even if it is a bit childish.

This is the last in a collection of 5 goal scoring books by Dan Freedman.

Inspired by his love of football and dislike of reading towards the end of primary and at the beginning of secondary school. He decided to write a collection of books that could engage the many boys that aren't inspired to read.

My son absolutely loved them, as he loves football and Dan onviously did his reasearch because he uses the correct terminology to relate to football throughout the book.

This book is about a young man about to embark on a professional career in football after a great but turbulent journey to get to this point. This is the match of his life and he needs to play well.

This book would attract upper KS2 boys in the same way that Jaqueline Wilson books attract a predominantly female audience.

But he chooses England at first but later on chooses to play for Scotland. So he does his best as always and tries to get to the Final. Then will he and his team win the Finals? The theme is that choose to your hearts content and try to do your best.

I have read all of the books in the Jamie Johnson series, and I loved all of the books. This book in particular was very good because it includes lots of twists and turns. Jamie has to chose which country to play in the World Cup for, and his friends and family try to help him decide. When Jamie was in the verge of playing for England, he changed his mind, and ran down the tunnel to get a taxi to Scotland’s hotel.

Having this as our 5th series of the book is great the only thing that isn't is that Jamie has a beckon coming up he has a big question to anwser the question is (Which country do you play for?)There has been new players in other teams so he really doesn't know.
