Max Brand, one of America's most popular and prolific novelists and author of such enduring works as Destry Rides Again and the Doctor Kildare stories, died on the Italian front in 1944.
This book may be out of print, but if anyone should find it this book is worth the time for reading. It is a good Western that give both perspectives of the Native Americans, the Calvary, and settlers of that time. The author captured the adventure, emotions, and the history of that time period. I enjoyed the story and felt a connection with the main character. I would recommend this book to everyone especially those who read Zane Grey and Louis Lamour.
