Entertaining and quick to read.

While reading The Black Sheep's Baby, some of the characters in the story cracked open some old memories. The characters of Lucy & Mike where liking meeting old friends from years ago and led me to re-reading the series. I love my current favorite paranormal stories, but realized how much I miss the old Harlequin & Silhouette stories that I read by the boatload.

Chicago reporter Mike Lanagan is investigating corruption in a huge development in Chicago with links to government and organized crime when his apartment is firebombed. He decides to leave town for a while and ends up in a ditch during a thunderstorm in Iowa. He hires on as a farm worker to stay undercover and to earn money to fix the car without using credit cards & ID. There are some fun incidents involving a city man on the farm. The growing relationship is built around respect and humor. Eventually the story goes back to Chicago where climax occurs, Nice series romance.

I actually rated this 3.75. It was a very quick, fun read and I put it on my keeper shelves. I feel like I would reread this one at some future date.
