I acquired an original edition free from my library: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1918; Leslie Judge Co., New York, 1919. Nearly all the narratives were written shortly after the events they describe, which include: Detailed accounts of battles and campaigns not just in France and Belgium, but in Russia, Poland, Italy, Galicia, Bukovina, Serbia, Turkey, Armenia, and other areas. Also, the Russian revolution, Irish rebellion, and a long description of US preparation, training and entry into the war. Large format with 328 pages with hundreds of incredible photos, maps and illustrations. A rare, but invaluable book, if you manage to locate a copy! Highly recommended!
