A Toast to Mantas:

Rate this book

The Florida outdoors, from the purply-blue of the Gulf Stream waters, the sandy shorelines, the coastal lagoons, all the way to the jade-colored cypress domes and the perpetually twilit swampwoods of the interior, provide the setting for most of these stories. No doubt, fishermen, divers, surfers, archers, wing shooters, hunters, and lovers of nature will be drawn to these tales. Reel drags scream, bucks haunt secluded glades, dogs point steadfastly, waves barrel, and arrows hiss! Yet, in essence, the stories are of people; their troubles, vexations, sorrows, joys, and triumphs – all insightfully related, allowing A Toast to Mantas (And Other Stories) to transcend the limits of the typical sporting genre and appeal whole-heartedly to any reader interested in his or her fellow humans. Read of dazzling, acrobatic fish, tremendously powerful waves, gigantic cartilaginous creatures, long-tusked boars, dark-antlered whitetails, agilely elusive snipe, and silent sharks! Ride the undercurrent of hopes and dreams!
