Introduction, Critical Commentary and Notes
(c) 1988 David Punter

Routledge English Texts, General Editor John Drakakis

Broad range of selections, extracts, manuscript poems, poem and prose works, from early to late works.

Since his writing, painting, and engravings were all aimed at presenting his visions, the want of illustrations is serious. However, it is excellent for the study of his texts.

Excellent introduction and notes.
Punter has modernized the punctuation making the texts more accessible.
The lack of the illustrative paintings is important; but, perhaps it helps concentration on the text making a later study of the whole easier and richer.
