After reading the first two in less than a day, I got to finish this one in a full day.. It was entertaining and sweet. It was also a no brainer as to how everything was going to turn out romantically. The suspense was very light and the climax of the story was extremely short with little to no build up or depth. I was surprised a little by the villain but not by much. This part of the story just seemed to be thrown in as almost an after thought. However it was still a pretty good romance story with a splash of suspense.

The third book in the Beaufort series but I haven't read the 1st 2 in the series. This one involves a former FBI agent and a woman who he protected years before.
The heroine, Charlie, seeks out Ayden, who stood her up for their yearly meeting. Charlie has been in love with Ayden through the years. The story has many characters that apparently were introduced in the previous books but it still read comfortably as a stand-alone. As a romantic suspense it was heavier on the romance with the suspense playing a minor role.
