The authorized biography of Dr. James E. McDonald's research into the UFO phenomenon. McDonald worked in the 1950s and 1960s to raise the UFO issue in the scientific community as a serious problem. This book documents his brave fight for justice and truth, and his untimely and mysterious end. McDonald is a largely forgotten hero in the long and important battle to uncover the truth of the alien presence on Earth. With this landmark work, Ann Druffel places McDonald clearly where he belongs among the great pioneers of UFOlogy
Magnificent book, well researched, well written, full of interesting information, and great understanding of the period, the author was there and took part in the whole situation. One can feel the man breathing while reading this magnificent book. Great understanding of the Condon Committee, blue book, and the whole UFO intrigue and also on the duplicity of Hynek's fake hero.
This is a biography of Dr. James McDonald, an American scientist who studied UFOs, among other things. It is a good biography, although I got tired of the author's use of the words always, never, only, ever, every; and her incessant use of exclamation marks showed her to be an amateur.
