But not far from any of their minds are the challenges of grown children coming home to roost, husbands in midlife crisis mode, and--could it be?--a first-time pregnancy at forty-five.

The "girls" all have their baggage in tow, but the salty air and laughing with friends is just what the doctor ordered--if they can weather the hot flashes until wedding bells ring!

About the author

Diann Hunt wrote romantic comedy and humorous women's fiction targeted to Christian women of the Baby Boomer generation. She'd lived in Indiana forever, had been happily married forever, loved her family, chocolate, her friends, her dog, and, well, chocolate. Her book "For Better or For Worse" is being made into a Hallmark movie, with production beginning in November, 2013.

After a four-year battle with ovarian cancer, Diann went home to be with her Lord and Saviour just after Thanksgiving, 2013. She leaves behind a legacy of words of blessing, love for her Lord, her family, her close friends, and fans the world over who have come to know and love her and call her their friend.

Fun book about a group of women friends who go away on a beach trip because one is getting married and her fiance thinks she is getting cold feet. He calls one of the women and suggests they get away before the big day so the friends can determine if she does indeed have cold feet and if so, why.

It took me a bit to get into this book, but by the end, I did like it. It was an easy, enjoyable read, about a group of friends (they call themselves the Latte Girls) from Indiana who go on a two week vacation to Florida. One of the friends, Lily, who is a widow, had fallen in love with someone new and is suddenly having cold feet about her impending nuptials. The Latte Girls go to Siesta Key to stay in one of the members condo, relax, talk Lily into marrying her beau, and go to see Donny Osmond in concert, among other things. It is apparently the sequel to another book, but this one was easy enough to read on its own, without having read the previous book.

Diann Hunt's novels have the same flavor as Robin Jones Gunn's Sisterchicks books. They're all great fun, I think! This one centers on a woman who sweeps her friends off on a tropical vacation to calm her pre-wedding jitters. As always, a story that makes you smile and has you wishing for a fantastic trip of your own.

This is a cute story about a girls' trip to Florida (Siesta Key to be exact) when one of the girlfriends gets cold feet about her upcoming wedding. The ladies spend a couple of weeks there and have many different types of adventures while there. This is a Christian Fiction title that will make you smile.

I can relate to these women. They have hot flashes, weight issues, wrinkles, but still think young and have fun with their girlfriends. The Christian undertones in this story were subtle. The plot was fun, and I enjoyed the adventures of the Latte Girls.
