Who knows?
It's a good read, you can finish the book in a short time despite it being around 700 pages long (partially because of how many photos there are inside), very well edited, however I have some remarks that don't let me give it 5 stars.
1) The questionnaire that each of the designer had to fill: I found that the questions could have been a bit more interesting, some I found quite banal (the product or process one for example) and not providing much insight into the persona of the designer.
2) The photos chosen: many times they didn't really display what was written about the designer's clothes in the description. For example, Dolce & Gabbana being rightfully praised for their inspiration of mediterranean and Italian culture, which is evident in each of their collections and however the editors managed to pick the photos of the most boring designs out there (an oversized white t-shirt.....)
3) The choice of the designers: I felt like the choices were limited to designers from just few countries and nothing beyond. Of course I know how fashion world is - not every fashion week is equally important, but to me it's so strange that no attention was paid to e.g. middle-eastern designers such as Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad or Ziad Nakad. Especially the first one, I believe is much more acclaimed internationally than some of the people that got to be included in the book.
It is not really a picture book. I find it addressing to some designers behind some major brands; but it is a table book as someone can find some few paragraphs about each designer.
