Book 1 in the Night Elves series Selena DeLaPava is just out for a little fun at her best friend's grad party. But 'fun' can't quite describe how terribly wrong the night goes. One minute she's gyrating in a circle of body-painted ancient history grads, and the next she's flat on her back, buck naked, under a bright summer sun with an equally nude golden god looming over her-commanding her to pleasure herself, and she is compelled to obey. Serosen Isil-Gan, high prince of the Night Elves, finds her-deliciously naked, and fully enchanted by his licentious cousin. Knowing that it is forbidden to bring humans to Tir na n-Og, Serosen liberates the maid, only to realize too late, that there is much more to the lusty Terran than meets the eye.
Romantica writer, reading enthusiast, and obsessive webmistress, Nelissa Donovan has always had an insatiable curiosity for all things mystical and supernatural. It’s not unusual for her to whip out a set of tarot cards on a dark, stormy night and poke around in the playground of the paranormal. Fortunately, Nelissa is grounded by a strong passion for her family, friends and work, and floats back to reality long enough to pen her wickedly virile elves, magic-wielding heroines, luscious cowboys and naughty nymphs.
This book is naughty and very spicy. Although it has alot of explicit sexual content the plot and all the characters evolve. Nothing is as it seems. A very good read.
I liked the premise and I liked the hero, the focus was more on the world building rather than the relationship and for that it suffered a bit. The love scenes were hot and explicit. Problem, I didn't really like Selena, she was all over the place and I wanted to smack her. I like to see characters fall in love or lust and feel their connections, it just didn't quite happen here. Still, It was entertaining.
The book was very promising. I thought it would have been much better. But it was still an ok read, never read anything by this author before. won't add to my collection of books
