This a book about a Centaur and a witch. Fantasy and romance all wrapped up in a fast paced adventure. To be frank I did buy this book because It was a new premise for me but it became more than I expected. I had thought this would be more erotic and slightly on the edge of playing it safe but it ended up being a sweet romance about discovery and the lengths we go to save ourselves. The story was well thought out and the detail and action was lovely, unfortunately somewhere the connection to our girl MC just wasn't there for me. I would without a doubt read anything else by Lila Dubois and continue this series with this book on my shelf to reread in the future. Whenever I thought I had it figured out the story would take me back a few steps and I would be caught up in the movement and mystery of the book. Loved "The Wild" idea...but could be more attached to the characters. Moira came off as selfish and a little alien and I would have welcomed some darker elements in some of the erotic scenes. It would have been truer to the storyline but all in all I was thrilled to discover this hidden gem.

the sample chapters were so promising, too--but I should have known it was too good to be true when I hit the goth club scene and the first thing that came to mind was "bartending in the dark"
