Closer to a 3.5, kind of a rambling story about a super computer that will give the edge to whichever military that has it, but its expensive. To make more sales and convice the Pentagon to buy it, the American company is holding a chess tournament where the super computer will be playing to prove its capabilities. Since the Russians and other Communists countries cant buy it, because the American company isnt allowed to sell it to them, they decide to steal it at the chess tournament. Then pretend the computer is destroyed and copying it, giving it to all the Communist countries. Then everyone else will have to buy the American version no matter the cost, so a win win for Russia, the arms company that owns the computer company, and the computer company. However this complicated plot will have to get by Able Team, who knows nothing about any of this, they think its just baby sitting a computer and a couple of American chess players, while also helping a couple of Russians to defect.

Lots of action and recommended for fans of Mens Adventure. The plot is rambling but the pace is fast and keeps you interested. Has computer/martial arts expert Lao Ti join the team again, shes always a fun character who I wished was used more.

One of the better, if not best of the series so far. The death and destruction has a backdrop of a chess tournament. Not the usual all action scenery. This is filled with a colorful casts of characters. From blood thirsty mercenaries to geeky grand chess champions to a Biker gang named The Lucifers. They go from California to Dubrovnik. Both sides want a computer named The Little General that puts America 10 years ahead of the Russians.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
