[Siren Menage Amour: Erotic Cowboy Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M] Running from an employment disaster, Clarissa Barnes escapes to the badlands of South Dakota with the promise of home and hearth with a stranger. When her mail order bride contract falls through upon her arrival, two gorgeous cowboys step up to save her with a seductive offer she can't refuse. Logan Granger and Derek Brand engaged a "special" bride from back East already willing to serve as companion to them both. When their mail order bride jumps from the train rather than meet them, they opt to convince a beautiful stranded woman the opportunity for seductive pleasures. Can three strangers make a life filled with passion in the harsh wilderness of the Badlands? And what will Clarissa's two lovers do if her past comes back to haunt her? ** A Siren Erotic Romance
This little novella wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good either. It had some good potential. the set up where a desperate woman agreed to marry two men was interesting. She did think about it and decide that she didn't have any other options. There was a lawyer there who tried to talk her out of this unnaturalness. But then they just jumped into bed in the middle of the day and proceeded to have sex for hours. Then they had dinner and then went to a bath house and had a bunch more sex. Then they all three admitted their love for each other. Undying love in less than 12 hours. Who knew it was so easy? I know what I'm getting, after all I did buy a menage book, but really there should be some sort of realistic story. She's a desperate virgin. Less than a day later she's doing DP with two strangers in a public bath house. Some of the sex scenes were fairly well written so two stars for a good start and some decent but not spectacular love scenes. Just hmmm...

DNF at 20% I tried to like it and give it a chance, but the heroine is too stupid for words and makes choices that make no sense. Even in an erotica, I expect a minimum of logic Given the fact I stopped reading at the beginning of the first sex scene, even that couldn't garner my interest
After Logan and Derek's intended bride jumps off a train in order to avoid marrying them, they decide to marry Clarissa, another mail order bride on the train whose intended husband has married another. Immediately after the wed, they have sex for nine solid chapters. All three of them are exchanging words of love after the first sexual encounter. Even though this book was majority sex, it was still a nice, and naughty, read. Logan and Derek were very good with Clarissa, and never once did I feel that there was or would be any jealously between the two men. I did end up really liking the characters and look forward to continuing the series.
What an incredibly short and simple story. In a nutshell, they meet, have sex, have some more sex, go home. One week later, have sex. Done. Happily Ever After.
I'm not really sure why they decided to have this story set in 1890. Apart from the corsets, buggies, and lack of indoor plumbing, nothing in this story screamed historical. I guess mail ordered brides isn't something that is appropriate nowadays, but menage relationships weren't accepted back then either. The dialogue didn't seem very authentic. Obviously I'm no historian, but did they really say cock and pussy back then as well? I thought it was funny they called lube, "salve".
Anyway, the story was okay for a novella. Finished it in a couple hours.
I generally enjoy historical novels, but this one was not worth the read. There is almost no plot, no big climax (excuse the pun - unavoidable since that is the literary term as well), and even the sex scenes (which is what fills most of the book) are less than steamy. I've definitely read much better in the Erotic Romance category. It is a shame, too, because the story line had so much unfulfilled potential.
This was an enjoyable quick read in the Menage genre. The back story of Clarissa Barnes's past was just enough to tie this story together. Logan and Derek were big, strong, and handsome. Clarissa was a pretty damsel in distress. When their eyes met the lust was immediate, nearly overwhelming and once they were married the sex was verry hot and explicit.
