Becs Pierce is loved and protected by all the men in the Sinners MC, including the president, who just happens to be her brother.
With a reputation for being wild, she lives life to the fullest, almost as if every day could be her last. Until something happens that forces her to stop living as she once had and focus on the future. A future she once dreamed of sharing with a man who wants nothing to do with her.
He’s a criminal.
Colt Harrison, aka Race, is running from a past with the power to pull him back if he’s not careful.
He left that world looking for a fresh start, never intending to meet someone as reckless as himself, but when he does, his only choice is to avoid her or risk losing everything he’s working toward.
Including his freedom.
After years of denying their feelings, circumstances began pulling them together. But when he’s forced to return to the lifestyle he left behind and she’s keeping a secret with the power to destroy the club, their loyalties are put to the test.
Can they put aside the pain from their pasts to find love?
Jennifer Hanks is a busy author and mom. Her stories are contemporary romance and romantic suspense, all with the underlying message of the power and strength in love. She’s also a sucker for a Happily-Ever-After. Her love of reading and books in general started at a very young age and has steadily grown into a love of writing as well. She admits to being addicted to all things romance and has no plans of quitting her habit. Jennifer lives in Pennsylvania with her two children. When she’s not reading or writing, she can be found with her kids at their various activities. Her house is frequently filled with any combination of her children’s friends, nieces, nephews and a variety of pets.
Becs is the princess of the Sinners MC. Her brother is their President, and everyone there adores her. She had her eye on Race from the moment he first walked into the clubhouse, but through a misunderstanding they become more enemies than anything else. Becs finds herself in a situation where she is needing protecting and Race is there to offer it.
This was a slow burn romance that hit a lot of the tropes I most enjoy. We have Becs overhearing Race talking about her in an unflattering way, early on in the story we learn she is pregnant with no baby daddy in the picture, but we do get Race stepping up for her and her baby in a big way, which is just touching to see. Although these characters have insta-love for each others, it's a long time before they admit as such to each other and we get to watch them really work for their relationship to grow and build.
This is the Sinners MC so you also have a lot of suspense occurring around them and the clubhouse and the situations that they are in. I actually haven't yet read the first two books in this series, but it didn't matter at all. I get the sense this storyline runs sort of parallel a bit to the other two and now can't wait to go back and read those. Wasted Time was another great love story from Jennifer Hanks!
Becs Pierce is loved by all the men in the Sinners MC, she’s the sister of Bear, the MC’s president which essentially makes her the clubs princess, there’s nothing the brothers wouldn’t do to protect her, especially Race aka Colt Harrison… MC member, loyal brother and a felon.
Having done time for a crime he commited Race has moved on; however he’s always watching, waiting for the past he’s running from to catch up with him and pull him back in, putting both himself and those close to him in danger which is among one of the reasons he’s refrained from acting on his feelings towards Becs. The other reason is that Race feels Becs is just as reckless a person as himself and for that reason it would be best to avoid her, he doesn’t want to risk everything he’s working towards by slipping back into the reckless behaviour he’s worked so hard to escape from.
The pair dance around one another over the years until circumstances keep pulling them together. Priorities in Becs life see her settling down and focusing on the future whilst Race finally realises just how much time has been wasted, he lets Becs know exactly how he feels and this time there's no avoiding her, he’s in it for keeps, or is he?
Race finds himself being forced to return to the lifestyle he left behind leaving Becs with the promise he’ll be back within a few days, however days turn into weeks then months with Becs having had no contact from him, she doesn't even know the reasoning behind his disappearance. Race isn't the only one hiding things, Becs has been keeping a secret, one with the power to destroy the club and loyalties are put to the test with trouble brewing.
Will Race and Becs be able to move forward together as a couple, putting aside the past? Or has there been too much wasted time?
Then there’s the actual MC itself, what lies ahead for them?
One thing for sure is you're going to want to read this, the fantastic third book in Jennifer Hanks' Sinners MC series. Catch up with characters old and new as you get swept away with all the drama and action, honestly I couldn’t get enough and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in-store next for this crazy but lovable bunch.
Finally, Becs and Race!!! These two had a special enemies nonrelationship from the getgo. The previous books had little teases with the both of them and you definitely wanted their story. Single mom to be, Becs is trying to figure out how to navigate her soon to be change in her life. she has a great support system, but will they be able to keep enemies at bay? The clubhouse has enemies and Becs may be somewhat unintentionally involved.
These two, when will they finally admit the inevitable? I really enjoyed their growth and how they protective of everyone. Love seeing the Dimarco brothers bounch in and out of this series. I love this world JH created. I am so psyched for Tank's story!!!
I have been waiting for this story since Becs and Race's first snarky exchange! The tension between them was explosive then and they weren't even the main characters!
When Becs revealed her predicament in the previous book, my mouth just dropped! Luckily, Jennifer Hanks didn't make us wait to see how these two would fare.
I loved how the author didn't start this book where book two ended. Instead, we get to see what was happening between Becs and Race while coinciding with the other stories. (It was also great to reminisce the previous stories!)
I think the author did an amazing job with the push and pull between the characters. They each have their own emotional and personal battles they have to deal with on top of dealing with what's going on between them.
Then on top of Race and Becs' story, we are teased with two other couples. Tank's surprise was just icing on the cake for me and I'm here for it!
I highly recommend this series - or really any of Jennifer Hanks' series because they are all set in the same town and the characters tend to crossover. Each series has a different feel - MC, contemporary, suspense- but they are all great!
The Sinners MC is a great MC series to dip your toes in if you've never read MC before.
Gosh I’ve missed these folks! It was so great to catch up with Bear and Josie, Gunner and Maggie, Tank, and the Elite guys not to mention the Dimarco Construction guys! I have watched Becs and Race dance around each other for a while and I couldn’t have been happier that they finally got their HEA. Love this series and the mystery running through it! Looks like Tank’s story is next and I can’t wait!
Yay! Becs gets her story! If you have followed the series then you have gotten to know Becs and Racer. If you haven’t read the series, no worries, this book can be read as a stand alone and thoroughly enjoyed. This story has a little bit of everything, wit, suspense, lust, and heartache with some sizzling steam and you’ve got a great read! Becs is the club favorite! She brings the light everyone desperately needs. With a past of tragedy she lives life to the fullest until circumstances change and alters her course. With a chance to start over and live a better life, Racer has found a family in the Sinners club. He takes this opportunity seriously and does what he can to protect this new life and those in the club. Becs and Racer have an instant connection when they first meet, but messing with the President’s sister isn’t a risk Racers is willing to take, especially if it will cost him his new family. These two dance around each other for years. A slow burn for sure! And it burns until the pull is too strong and the spark becomes an all out fire! Just when things start looking good for them, Racer’s old life sucks him back in. This was an entertaining read. Becs and Racer’s story plays out while we follow the Sinners MC dramas and reconnect with previous characters. Lots of captivation filling each page. I read an ARC of this book. My fair and honest review is voluntary.
I have been impatiently waiting for Becs and Race’s book since book one. You just knew going in that there was going to be a lot of hurt, a lot of healing, and a good bit of back and forth. These two didn’t disappoint. This book runs along a similar timeline to book two so some of the story overlaps but not in a way that you need to read book two before you read this… (it’s been a while since it came out and since the story isn’t fresh in my mind I actually went back to re-read parts of it halfway through this book out of curiosity). The found family here in this book is everything I want in a series.
These two have had feelings for each other for a long time, but have gotten into enemy territory because of hurt feelings and pasts needed to overcome. I really enjoyed their story, and felt that the push and pull that we got from them worked really well. There are some teasers into the next book, and some possible pairings or another, and they are just enough to keep me intrigued.
If you aren’t sure about MC romances or want to start with an easy one, then this series is for you. I will say that I started with book one and then went back to book two and while there is an overarching theme/story through these 3 books, reading them out of order isn’t off putting.
Jennifer Hanks did it again! Race and Becs’ story was probably one of the most anticipated out of the Sinners MC Series. We’ve had glimpses of this couple throughout multiple books, and I’m sure a lot of us had tried to map out in our heads how their story would go. I can assure you that they were worth the wait!
Race and Becs have loved each other for so long, but constantly deny their feelings. We can all agree they wasted a lot of time that they could have spent together, but there’s obviously a good reason for that! Wasted Time contains great banter, a well thought out story line, and some highly anticipated tension ;)
I can confidently say that (right now), Race and Becs are my favorite Sinners couple. Though I will admit, this story was lighter that I expected (but still totally worth the read!). One of my favorite things about Jennifer’s books are the suspense-filled twists that she throws in. Compared to her other books, this story felt like it contained the least suspense. But not to worry, there is still suspense and I still highly recommend everyone read it! Jennifer Hanks made Race, Becs, and their story so real and relatable. Wasted Time is one of those stories that feel as though it could be a real-life romance. Keeping with the theme of real-life, I love the depictions of Becs following giving birth. I think she is very relatable for a lot of women, even for those who aren’t mothers yet. And men in real-life could learn a thing or twenty from Race! He looked at his past, present, and future, took the bull (or motorcycle) by the horns (or handles), and steered it exactly where he wanted to end up. And before I forget, they way Race is with Wyatt??? SWOON!
Becs and Race have been dancing around each other for years. When she announces her pregnancy, he is put on “babysitting” duty to protect her. The MC is under attack by rival MC the Widows and no one is taking chances regarding the safety of the Sinners MC family.
After spending loads of time together, Becs and Race find themselves growing closer together. Race takes care of Becs and her newborn son. He notices when she’s no okay and helps. He takes on the role of father. Then he is suddenly called back to his old life and Becs ex comes into play and threatens her and her brother’s MC.
This book was lovely start to my 2023. I’ve always loved Jennifer Hanks and especially the Sinners series, so I was looking forward RO reading Becs and Race’s story. I was not disappointed. We were back with the ongoing rivalry with the Widows and of course we had to get the guys from Elite in there as well.
This is book 3 in the Sinners MC series. Book 1 is Sweet Revenge (Maggie & Gunner) and Book 2 is End Game (Josie & Bear)
Racer and Becs book was well worth the wait! I really enjoyed their banter, their angst and of course their HEA. I loved being back in the Sinners world as well as having a pop in to the Elite and Dimarco worlds. My favorite part of Jennifer's books is they always feel like a family reunion with all her worlds crossing over. It's just always so fun to see past characters as well as getting snippets into who is next!
Absolutely loved this. Becs is tough but also soft at heart. Race is perfect for her but some things take time. This story is interwoven with the previous stories so it's good to have read them but not essential. There's sizzle along with some mystery.
It's a Jennifer Hank's book you know I'm going to run to read it
This was more of an inside story of what we knew from previous books it was good insight but I don't know I wanted a little more. This two really wasted so much time :)
I enjoyed this one! Very lovable characters! Oh how I missed Bear especially!! (Lol - he’s a side character in this one, but since he’s her brother we get to see lots of him.)
I enjoyed this story for its interesting characters and tense suspense.
Becs is ready to be a responsible caring mother. Some find that hard to believe because they've known the party girl she used to be. The father isn't interested and she's not interested in him. With the ongoing feud with the Sinners MC and their biggest rival, Becs's brother is justifiably worried about protecting everyone associated with his club but most especially his unborn niece or nephew. Bec's doesn't make that easy though. She's used to being so independent that she thinks she can take care of herself.
Colt, aka Race, has always had a thing for Becs. When he was a prospect he didn't dare get too friendly to the president's daughter. Learning to suppress his desire started a new habit and he's watched her from afar. Now he's assigned to be her protector. As he worries about falling into his past bad habits, he's especially challenged with his continued and growing attraction. He's amazing with the baby. He's the last one maybe to see how good he is.
Talk about tortured romances! Race's past, the baby's father, these twos confusion over their attraction all make for an interesting story.
