Incompetent! She couldn't cook, clean or operate the dishwasher. But Steven Koleski had to admit the mysterious woman did have a way with his newfound family...and his lonely heart.
It was the opportunity of a lifetime for Princess Sophie of Carpathia: two weeks of living like a regular person. On top of that, caring for children was her passion. But with five of them tugging on her heartstrings and their sexy guardian bestowing fiery kisses on her, how could she ever return to life as a princess when her fairy-tale ending was right here...right now?
As the mother of five sons, now grown, Karen loves to write about real people dealing with the drama (and humor) of everyday life. Over the past fifteen years, Karen has written nearly 50 books for Harlequin/Silhouette and Red Dress Ink, and three of her Special Edition titles (A Mother's Wish (2009) Welcome Home, Cowboy (2011) and A Gift for All Seasons (2013) have won the RITA award, the romance industry's top prize for published authors. In addition, her November 2014 title, Santa's Playbook, earned the Romantic Times Gold Seal of Excellence, out of the hundreds of releases reviewed by the magazine for that month.
She is very active on Facebook, as both Karen Templeton and her full name, Karen Templeton Berger, running giveaway contests whenever she has a new release... or just feels like it. Or you can reach her via her website at www.karentempleton.com, which contains recent news as well as excerpts from both current and backlist titles.
It's cute. It's a bit silly that it's about a princess but it's a nice story about her forming family bonds with a widower and his adopted children. I think
I love how both of these two people have internal challenges ghat they struggle with.
And neither of them realize it. Steve just looks at the whole chaos of his life as what's expected. And strangely, Sophie looks at hers the same way. Isn't it amazing that she understands his struggles so well?
Accustomed to seeing life's more rare beauty through the eye of his camera, he is drawn immediately to Sophie in a connection he struggles to understand.
Within days, his five young wards are enchanted with her and he is more than enchanted. But Sophie's deep secrets hold them apart... Though Steve would very much like to see around that fragile wall she has keeping them apart. A book I'll pull out again.
Language-wise I feel as if a high school student wrote this book. The voice and mental communication of every character is the same. However, it is a nice romantic fantasy and an enjoyable read. Reminds me of low-budget TV romantic comedies.
