This is an autobiography of the author's childhood in Zermatt. He was born in 1910. It was so interesting to read how the family lived and how children took on so many tasks in those days. Since we have been there, I could picture the same places as they are now. The book ended a little sadly, but in reading a little about the author on the back cover of the book, I can see his life turned out to be a good and successful one.

Starts a bit slow with life in early Zermatt but the second half i found more interesting concerning his attempt for justice in medical malpractice. The outcome was sad but all too believable
