Curiously not terrible, and a very fast, light read with a somehow delightfully too-perfect everyday hero. Funny how dated it is! Times have changed, slowly but surely. This contemporary 1995 book seems more distant in morals than a 2015 regency.

This was a good easy read without a lot of wondering how it was going to end. I enjoy being able to read these when I am not in the mood to try to keep
Up with different scenarios😀

THREE FOR THE ROAD is one of many romances in the Harlequin '9 Months Later' series. It is an older contemporary story originally published in 1995 and contains some mild dated material. The romance itself takes place over a period of several days.

Mary Elizabeth Drummond finds herself pregnant but doesn't love the father. They have already broken up when she learns she is expecting. Her own father acts like a jerk and insists she gets married or move out because of the stigma of what people will think. Of him. And the family name. So she leaves.

This show on the road involves a motor home, prim Mary Elizabeth meeting Pete/Peter in of-all-things a bar, a mint-condition '53 Triumph motorcycle, some jail-time, lots of sexual tension, a few side-trips, that moment of miscommunication and a HEA. At 297 pages, I was surprised at how fast I read it and how much I enjoyed it. Let's call this a Harlequin with some meaty romance.

Cute story. The romance between Mary Elizabeth and Pete was fast, but didn't seem rushed and forced. Very cute.
