Ashlee Morrison has a secret obsession—with a dark and mysterious male. The only problem is that he’s a wolf and she’s becoming convinced that she’s insane. But Ashlee’s wolf is no ordinary canine; he is Tristan Kane, third son in the royal family of the Westervelt Wolf pack. Trapped in his wolf form by his evil father’s men, Tristan has desperately sought a way out of predicament and is shocked to find that the sad but beautiful redhead who has come to the wolf cage can not only hear him, but awakens in him the knowledge that she is his mate, the other half of his soul. Ashlee, unaware that she is half wolf-shifter, agrees to accompany Tristan back to his pack in Maine to seek answers to her past and understand her future. But as Tristan and Ashlee grow closer, familial betrayals will threaten to destroy the fragile love they have started to build. With the odds stacked against them, Ashlee and Tristan will either embrace their love to save the Westervelt Wolves or be lost forever to despair.
Surprisingly good story! Ya never know what to expect with these types of books- too many times, high sexual heat means sacrificing depth but this one does a fine job of weaving the two.
Starting the Westervelt Wolves Book series, Her Wolf introduces us to a pack of shape shifting wolves living on an island off Maine. The Pack has yet to recover from the devastating betrayal perpetrated by their Alpha thirty years ago but the introduction of a young lady to a captured wolf is about to change all that.
Convinced she's losing it, Ashlee can hardly believe the voice that tells her to release the wolf penned in the local zoo she's been volunteering at all summer. But a terrifying dream portending the wolf's death convinces her to do just that!
When three men show up out of nowhere trying to kill her and the wolf, all her crazy thought prove to be true, for this is no ordinary wolf.
Tristan "Trip" Kane has been trapped in wolf form ever since someone betrayed him to the machinations of his psycho father. Little did he know that the terrible circumstances he's found himself in would lead him to none other than his mate and that she would be the one to rescue him.
Soon they find that not only is Ashlee tied to Tristan and his pack in ways they never realized- but also the key to healing them all.
Although short, I recommend Her wolf to all lovers of shifter romance. It's got magic, mating heat, and perfectly evil baddies out to rule the world with genetic manipulation ala Lora Leigh's Breeds as well as an intricate spin on the mystical realm of a wolf pack to please just about anyone into Paranormal romance. Again, don't come to this with a smex book mentality- there's actually a story to tell- but do come to it to be entertained! I sure was.
I've always been a fan of stories that dealt with the "other" paranormals that featured supernatural communities that existed outside of our human world. Her Wolf the first in the Westervelt Wolves series by Rebecca Royce handled both accounts with the otherworldly love story of a paranormal romance and the edgy yet crafty world building of a contempotary urban fantasy.
Her Wolf features Ashlee Morrison, a young woman who has just gotten over her fiance's betrayal over cheating on her and getting another woman pregnant. After recovering from a breakdown, she takes a job at the nearby zoo and soon starts hearing voices in from one of the wolves there. Is she going crazy? Giving into this feeling she ends up saving the wolf who calls out to her and soon finds out he is indeed a shifter wolf, a prince who was doomed to stay in wolf form because of a witch's curse. With the help of his pack brothers, he can be successfully turned back. But that is not all. Ashlee is his true mate and, unbeknownst to her, also comes from a line of wolves. She may be the only one who can help him, doom him to fall to another curse that caused his father to kill his own mate or perhaps both at the same time. A battle begins between the former Alpha and the Westervelt wolves that starts a new feud and the beginnings of a new future for the family.
I have to say this was a rockin' story. I'm a world building junkie and I love to see the rules of the author's world created as the characters within the story adhere to them and explore it through their actions. There's a bit of family history here as the wolf dynasty is established through Tristan's brothers and his farther and also through Ashlee's mother as well.
There's a sweet yet very sensual love story that builds throughout and the chemistry between Tristan and Ashlee is smoking. The action scenes kept me turning the pages to see how things will be resolved between the hero and heroine.
The next book in the series deals with Ashlee's younger sister Summer and I'm definitely eager to see how things continue in the family line as well as seeing how the community continues to survive within the pack. Although this is a story within itself, there's a hint toward an ongoing battle between the antagonist of the story and our heroes that leaves it open for a series. I would have liked to have known a bit more about the witch's history and her story. A minor wish and one that doesn't deter at all from my enjoyment of the story. Maybe there will be hints of more in the coming books as we get to know the different members of the Westervelt community. I'd definitely be interested in learning and getting to know more. If you're looking for a great paranormal romance with a side of suspense and action, definitely pick up Her Wolf and check out this series!

Shallow and bland characterization and no world building. A lackluster writing style. I thought about giving the series an other chance, but at 5$ for scant a novel there's no way I'll buy the second. The 2 stars are a "wish you luck" charm for the author, the book is not that good.
Her Wolf by Rebecca Royce is a well-written, fast-paced, sensual, action-packed thriller that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and biting your nails until the very end.
Although I began with Book 5 in the Westervelt series, I’m so glad that I went back to the beginning to discover how it all began. Ashlee Morrison may seem crazy to her parents and everyone else in the world, but to Tristan Kane, one of the Royal Six, she’s his mate and ultimately his savior from his evil father.
Once Tristan finds his mate, he will do anything to protect her, even if it means leaving the Institute and everything that he knows. It was fascinating to watch this man that exudes power struggle with his destiny as he battled his father and embraced his relationship with his somewhat skittish mate.
But don’t be fooled. When push comes to shove and Tristan’s life is threatened by the curse his father has placed on the Royal family, Ashlee comes out of her shell and begins to embrace her true destiny. This woman is a force to be reckoned with when someone that she loves is in danger and I couldn’t help but admire her wit and strength as she went toe to toe with Tristan’s father to save his life, as well as her own. Tristan and Ashlee truly compliment each other and I love how the mating ritual allows them to receive the most important part of their mate’s heart and soul. It’s truly beautiful.
In addition, I enjoyed learning more about how it all began. Ms. Royce spins a tale that is captivating and will keep you begging for more as the hero and heroine fight to the death. Moreover, the secondary characters increase the depth of the story as the history of the Westervelts slowly unfolds. The pacing is perfect and I appreciate an author who allows the story to play out, but more importantly, knows how to leave you hanging off the cliff wondering what is going to happen next.
I can’t wait to read the second book in the series to find out more about Ashlee’s sister, Summer, and the mysterious assassin, Cullen. It’s sure to be a humdinger of a read. Bravo Ms. Royce! Once again, you’ve hit the ball out of the park with Her Wolf.
Rated 5 Ravens and a Recommended Read by the Blackraven!
The summary for Rebecca Royce's novels are a lot more interesting than the actual novels themselves. Her writing is choppy to the point that I could barely make it though a few pages, yet somehow managed to get through a few chapters. None of the characters are more than two-dimensional, so when she adds more characters into the mix it gets incredibly hard to tell the difference between one and another.
Her Wolf begins when Ashlee starts to hear some strange things from a wolf in the local zoo she works at. She never would have believed that a wolf was talking to her, until it actually happened and now she's unsure where her life is going next.
She feels something for this wolf called Tristan and when he turns into a man things get more complicated for them. After, she and Tristan return to his home they start to enjoy getting closer to each other. But there's people out there who want to hurt them and now isn't the best time to have a mate, but they can't change fate and both of them must work hard to stay alive.
This book was interesting for the most part. It wasn't as good as this author's other books that I've read, but it was still pretty interesting. I liked how Ashlee found Tristan. That was really cool, but then it kind of goes super fast for the next few parts, and I'm not really sure that I liked how Ashlee handled everything. It seemed almost too easy.
Other than that the plot line was really interesting, and I liked both the hero and heroine together. However, it still felt like some was missing in this story. I'm not sure what, but at times while it was interesting, my interested kind of waned a little bit. So, overall it was an okay book.
I found this one a little bit bizarre; it was ok but parts of it few odd and a other bits a tad annoying.
Ashlee works as a volunteer in a zoo, she has had a mental breakdown and is trying to recover. She has noticed that she has a bizarre connection to one of the wolves living in the zoo and one day discovers that she is able to communicate with it. The wolf tells her that he is actually a man stuck in wolf form and that she is also his mate. She decides to break him out of the zoo and help him return to his family.
The storyline is a little bizarre but I can deal with that. The writing was at times bland and there were a few things I felt needed a little more explaining but I could handle that to.
It was other things that bugged me like wolf Tristan calling Ashlee ‘my little Ashlee’ which coming from a wolf/man that plans to make you his sounds weird and a little pervy. Another thing that bugged me was Ashlee instantly forgiving her mum for letting her believe she was mentally ill when she wasn’t. (I would be livid)
Her Wolf is not a bad book it is short and at times engaging but it wasn’t for me.
I absolutely love this shifter series. They are short stories but still jam packed with tons of romance, action, suspense, some tears, alpha male possessiveness and protectiveness of their 'mate', and hot wolf lovin too! One thing I really liked is that, unlike many other shifter stories, these individuals are connected to their inner-wolf in a really unique way. There is internal dialogue going on with their wolf. I loved that. It added a deeper connection to their other half and also some really funny parts too.
And imagine that, a female who is actually receptive to her man and open to hearing and learning the history of the pack... not immediately freaking out and digging her heals in through the whole story. Both characters were perfectly matched and I loved how deeply they feel for each other. We also were introduced to many secondary characters who will have their own stories, I imagine.
Ashlee Morrison is struggling, after her five year relationship broke up she broke down, she dropped out of college and is now helping out at a zoo, but life is difficult she's not eating enough and she's hearing voices, well one voice actually and it belongs to a wolf, crazy yes she thinks she might be. This book had potential and I'll probably continue on to the next one, I liked the characters and the setup but for me the back story was a little too far-fetched, I know we don't have all the details yet but... Also I couldn't believe how quickly Ashlee forgave her parents for letting her think she was going crazy, I know they explained it away but seriously letting her think that, they could see she was wasting away, not eating. So while I had issues with this book I did on the whole enjoy it.
Horrible, horrible book. I could not even make it much farther past the free preview. It really seemed to me that the author/editors just worked on getting the "free preview" portion publication ready. After I purchased the book (the preview seemed interesting enough) the grammar and writing style dramatically decreased. I could not even get past the next chapter. It moved from average to third grader in a matter of paragraphs.
Do not waste your time. There are plenty of good books out there. Save yourself.
I'v just finish all the Westervelt books and every single one I couldn't put down. The story's are all unique and exciting, they made me love each family member with there own exciting plot line. I can't wait for the last brother's storey but hopefully not the end of the series there's still a whole pack to write about. If u love shapeshifter and a good romance, this is the series for u.
There are so many good things about this book. Not the least of which is a bunch of hot, sexy wolves!
Rebecca MUST continue this series. The story is well told with memorable characters. Ashlee and Tristan's romance is sensual and caring - you want to know what's happening in their lives even after the story is done.
I've been searching the Goodreads 'recommendations ' and this came up and sounded good.
it was. bit of a different start!
Poor Ashlee has had a rough few months including a stay in a psych ward for a while. she's getting vivid dreams and hearing voices. her parents hope this helps her and they help get her a volunteer job at the local zoo.
Ashlee is drawn to the wolves enclosure. As she watches them she's always drawn to one dark wolf who always stands aside from the pack......who she starts hearing in her head.....convinced she's going mad again she rushes off.....after a conversation with the wolf claiming to be human trapped in a wolf body and needs to be helped.
when she gets home she can't get the wolf out of her mind. she leaves a note telling her parents the truth (brave if you ask me considering how they reacted to previous "episodes" she had) and drove back to the zoo.
Breaking into the zoo, going to the wolf and getting him.....they're ambushed on the way out.....one helper turns out to be his brother. ...the other. ...more shockingly HER MOTHER! ! She gives a cliff notes version and Ashlee, the wolf named Tristan or Trip, and his brother Rex head to his home on an island off maine.
Here starts so many questions that need answers, so many problems that need fixing. The only thing obvious is that Tristan and Ashlee are mates.......but even THAT doesn't go smoothly.....
leaving the island behind to chase old ghosts and to bring answers home to get her mates love and state of mind back is priority.....and just the beginning.
from what I saw of the ending I think the next book will be with Cullen who is basically protection, security and assassin all rolled into one, and with Ashlees younger sister Summer but we'll see.
it's a good start to a promising series. I hope it continues ...!
This book started out just a little slow for me, but as I was reading it I realized that it was necessary in order to develop the story correctly. I am now thankful for the slow beginning.
Ashlee volunteers at a local zoo. It was her father's way of getting her out of the house after a horrible break up with her fiance. At the zoo she is drawn to a wolf in the wolf enclosure. Every day she is at the zoo she feels compelled that she has to go visit him. And his eyes are just so human looking.
Tristan was caught while he was in his wolf form and a spell was put on him so that he couldn't shift back to his human form. He was put in a zoo enclosure with other wolves... but he isn't like other wolves, he is a shifter. Everyday a pretty young lady comes to visit him and he feels drawn to her in a way that he never has with anyone before... because she is his mate.
Ashlee decides that she needs to break Tristan out of the zoo in order to save him and get him back to his human form. She agrees to take him to a remote island in Maine where his pack resides. There his family can turn him human again. But turning Tristan back to his human form isn't the only task they are going to have to tackle to be together. And is there more to Ashlee than meets the eye?
Okay so first off I need to send out a HUGE thank you to author of Her Wolf Rebecca Royce! Not only did you write an amazing book.... but you brought back my hope in paranormal romance. I have read so many paranormal romance books to review that I have grown bored with them. Most of them are all about the same thing and oh so predictable. Her Wolf isn't at all predictable. From page to page I had no idea what was to come... and when I found out was delightfully shocked. I haven't been this into a book, in it seems like forever. And thanks to Rebecca Royce I have found a new wind for paranormal romance.
Ashlee's character had to be my favorite by far. She is complicated and beautiful. And the author portrayed her perfectly. She is confused, complicated, stubborn, creative and brave. All these qualities made her an amazing character because I could relate with her. I don't know a woman who isn't all of those things. But most of the time its down played or the woman is weak. Not Ashlee. She will do anything she needs to in order to save her mate... even if it means dying.
Tristan's love for Ashlee is breathtaking. He is completely devoted to her no matter what the circumstances are. And trust me... there are some rough circumstances! It gives me hope again in the power of love and romance.
If you don't read this book... it would be a huge mistake. Her Wolf has something for everyone, its romantic, sexy, sweet, action packed, there is adventure and loyalty... and paranormal yumminess! So if you are like I was and have lost your interest in paranormal romance, renew your love for it with Her Wolf... This is one book you will never forget!
Book one of the ‘Wetervelt Wolves’ series. This series contains seven novels and each novel is an individual story but ties together by the same pack or rather the same underlying story that revolves around an ex Alpha who basically went ape-shit. (sorry to be crude)
Ok. So this was my favourite book out of them because I loved the way Ashlee was strong willed but also gentle in her nature.
Ashlee is raised to believe she is slightly crazy because she can no longer tell reality and fantasy apart. Her father suggest her to volunteer at the zoo because he secretly knows that she may infact be half werewolf and being around animals should calm her. She is drawn to a loner wolf who is in an enclosure full of other wolves. She admires him and she kinda has a crush on the wolf and one day she approaches the wolf’s enclosure and finds she can hear him talk.
One thing leads to another and she finds out the wolf is infact Tristan a wolf prince, the third son and is stuck as a wolf, but wait it gets even more dramatic; he is her mate and she is his.
Ashlee is suddenly plunged into a world of supernaturals and finds she is a werewolf herself. Ashlee is dragged into a huge war for dominance and can not do anything but be all that she can, filling her role as Tristans mate. However she is put through many trials because a curse was placed upon the males by their evil father, the ex alpha, so that if they find their mate and do the mate ritual they will kill their mate. Ashlee, being a strong psychic, urgently finds a way to reverse the spell before time runs out.
This series really is quite lovely, each book contains a seperate wolf that is flawed and believes they will never be loved untill they come across their mate and imprint them. Each book tests the power of love and loyalty, it presents stories of loss, love, loyalty, strength and faith. Each wolf must go through hell just to find their mate in the most unexpected places but they belive in fate and they are yet to find out what exactly fate has in store for them.
The history that is explained in the first novel is kind of important so if you want to read them i reccomend reading the first book but otherwise you can kind of read them out of order if you wish to.
Ashlee has been kept in the dark on many things for far too long. She hears voices and has been having disturbing dreams, but she along with her parents chalk it all up to a mental breakdown she's been long overdue in having over a broken engagement. She starts volunteering at a zoo to aid in her mental recovery and becomes drawn to the wolf pen. The voices she hears this time are hard to ignore as well as the attachment she feels for one particular wolf.
Tristan watches the woman that seems content in watching him. He wants to know more about her and becomes concerned about her health. He doesn't understand these feelings, but when he finally catches her scent the need to break free from his imprisonment becomes even more intense.
This is my first read by Ms. Royce and the first in the Westervelt Wolves series. I found the relationship between Ashlee and Tristan romantic and the intimacy is passionate. They had already established a connection early on to one another without even realizing it when Tristan was stuck in his wolf form, which makes breaking the news to Ashlee about her own heritage easier. Reading about Ashlee's reality in the beginning and then watching her transformation throughout the story to a much more secure and independent woman is wonderful.
Although the story dragged a bit in the middle, I felt that overall it could have used a little more 'meat' since there were so many interesting magical, character, and plot elements to explore and to help make the story more believable. Ashlee's acceptance of her wolf heritage and her mate were not as hard-won as I would have liked and with so many characters in one particular scene at times, it became difficult to separate personalities since some have yet to be fully established. However, I really liked the uniqueness of Ms. Royce's take on a wolf shifter story and really look forward to the next in the series as the plot continues to thicken and there are of course more Alpha males yet to fully explore.
I would have liked this book a whole lot more if one niggling little thing hadn't happened. One little thing. Isn't it funny how one thing can alter your entire perception of a book. Sadly, this thing happened early-ish on and I kept thinking about it. What's this thing, you ask? Well, her mother and father kept the knowledge of her half wolf-shifter heritage from her and let her think she was crazy and having a freaky ass nervous breakdown. And when Ashlee confronts them on the fact that they let her think she was crazy they're all "Well, we got you that job at the zoo to see if that would spur your wolf side into putting in an appearance." Sure, sure, they were all apologetic about it and stuff but... you let your daughter think she was crazy for MONTHS. Sorry, dudes. That's kinda a deal-breaker for me.
Other than that little rageful bump (for MONTHS, guys!), I really liked this book. Ashlee took all the stuff her parents and her new mate threw at her in stride. It probably helped that she was ushered into their secret by seeing people shapeshift in front of her. Tristan was pretty cool. I mean, he was kind of a dope about a few family things but he stepped up when he needed to. I like the idea of an island of wolves and the way they've managed to keep themselves secret. I was not as thrilled by the casual way they tossed around ritual suicide, but who am I to judge? I guess if you have to off yourself, you have to off yourself.
Overall, this was fun way to spend an afternoon. I found out I have rage issues when parents lie to their children and I don't like it when otherwise healthy, contributing members of a society decide to kill themselves after they lose their mate. I did like the pack dynamics and the way that thing came together at the end. It was just, you know... they let her think she was crazy for MONTHS!
Ashlee thinks she’s going crazy. She hears voices coming from the wolf’s den where she works, but brushes them aside until one day she decides to speak back. Once the wolf knows she can hear him, everything changes and a rollercoaster ride to return Tristan, the wolf, back to a human, begins.
When Tristan realizes that Ashlee is his mate, he’s thrilled and can’t wait to get into his human form. A spell has been cast on him by his evil father and he needs the pack’s magic to heal him. Removing the spell is only half the battle. His new mate doesn’t know she’s half wolf shifter.
I enjoyed the variety of characters in the book and look forward to future installments of The Westervelt Wolves where we’ll get to know other characters in greater detail. The book closes after giving us a glimpse into a future mating that looks promising. Ashlee was a likeable heroine with the right amount of strength and vulnerability. Once she embraces her gifts, she shows that she’s capable of anything, especially when it comes to her love of Tristan. Rebecca Royce created a believable world with its own set of rules that kept my interest.
Though the book dragged slightly in the middle, the plot picked up when Tristan became affected by the same spell that turned his father from Alpha to crazed killer. The love Ashlee and Tristan feel for each other is strong. Though the heat level is low in this paranormal romance, it doesn’t take away from the passion felt by the characters.
If you enjoy paranormal romance with wolf shifters, danger, suspense and magic, you’ll have to get your copy of Her Wolf. It’s the first book in The Westervelt Wolves series, which is bound to get even better!
Ashlee, who thinks she's already mentally unstable, becomes obsessed by a lone wolf in the zoo only to find he's a prince wolf shifter and OMG! she's a half wolf shifter herself with 'specialz abilities'.
Now there are several reasons why I shouldn't have liked this book. I don't like the very tired, 'sniff sniff' you're my forever and ever 'MATE' trope. I don't like the half-breed, raised in the dark about their true heritage having 'special powers' and oh, look! now mated to the prince/alpha. (MarySue, much?) I hate the overuse of the hero calling the heroine 'little one'. I hate the overuse of the heroine claiming to be an independent woman and she 'belongs' to no one. I hate sheltered 'young' heroines. It's not the actual age that I have a problem with but actually how they act and at times, Ashlee, 22, came off and much younger.
Yet, despite all of those things, this is a solid 3.5 book. So why 4 stars when I tend to round down instead of up? Plot, baby! Yup. This story has plot and it takes precedence over smex. Wow. What a novel concept!
Now I'm the first to admit that I'm a plot snob but I really enjoyed this story. It could be that I was just in the right mood but I think that despite the little things that annoyed me, there were some very good things going on too. I especially liked the rather risky move the author takes when the hero becomes 'possessed'.
Is this book a genre defining story that will forever alter shifter romances? No. But it was an entertaining plot driven read. If you are looking for an abundance of sex, this book is not for you. If you like plot with smex then this is definitely worth checking out.
Ashlee Morrison had mental breakdown six months ago and currently a volunteer at the local zoo. Ashlee has been drawn to wolf enclosure to one wolf in particular whom she calls lone wolf. Tristan (Trip) Kane has been trapped in wolf form for the last six months never dreaming or believing to find his mate. Yet Ashlee feels like she's having another mental breakdown after hearing Tristan's voice in her head but refuses to let any one see her cry. Ashlee has very disturbing nightmare that leads her to save Tristan from his enemies. Ashlee is confronted by even more startling and surprising revelations from her mother. Tristan need his family's help in returning to his two legged state of being. Tristan shares with Ashlee about the curse leveled at his pack over thirty years by his father and witch. Tristan wants to end this curse for all time and make his father pay for what happened to the pack. Will Ashlee accept all of this? Will Ashlee and Tristan mate or bond? What does the curse entail? Can Tristan's father be stopped? Your answers await you in Her Wolf.
I was blown away by my first experience with Ms. Royce's writing style and story. She's got a new fan in me that's for sure. I loved the brokenness of her characters! I'm equally in love with her depiction of wolves! I'm huge fan of wolves real and fictional. I look forward to next book in the series.
Given to me for an honest review. Ashlee has had psychological problems most of her life. She seems better and she volunteers at the zoo. She likes watching the wolves. They play like puppies except for one who looks lonely to her. Sometimes he is very upset that he is locked up and betrayed. This time she tells him that maybe he would be better off with another pack. He replies that his pack walks on two legs sometimes. She is startled and thinks her hallucinations are getting worse. He tells her to let him out so they can go home. She refuses and leaves the zoo early. She wakes and realizes that she has dreams of Tristan and some men coming for him. She leaves a note for her parents since this could be another episode. She manages to get him to her SUV when men show up. As Tristan is fighting them, more wolves show up. Is Ashlee really awake? Did she really see a wolf turn into a man? Will her parents really believe this?
Her Wolf is a gripping tale of good versus evil and the strength of love. The plot was fast paced with a few scenes that had me on the edge of my seat. The author has created an intriguing world of hidden wolf-shifters on a remote island. I enjoyed the complex relationships between Tristan and his brother-wolves. My favorite character was Ashlee. I loved witnessing the transformation of Ashlee's character. In the beginning she is an insecure and confused young woman. As she discovers and accepts her true nature, Ashlee finds the confidence and strength to risk her own life for the pack and her mate. The ending allows for the story to continue in book two of The Westervelt Wolves series. Fans of shifter romances will not be disappointed.
1. First couple of chapters and the entire world and background story of these shifters is explained in a conversation. Why tell, why not just show through the story. 2. Why would Ashlee's parents, whose mom is a shifter, think Ashlee has mental issues when in fact she's half-wolf? Of course she has issues.
Things I enjoyed as the book progressed:
1. Ashlee grew a pair. 2. The use of magic for the royal shifter family. Very cool and well done.
Fairly good read. A little too short for my taste. Although being part of a multi book series sort of makes up for the short length. There are several books in this series featuring the Royal Westervelt siblings. It was a unique storylîne. Very well written which is why i give four stars instead of three. There were no editing mistakes in this one. I really appreciated that very much. A shifter story with witches & magical elements thrown in ... making for an interesting story. Interesting enough for me to order two more stories in the series. I enjoyed reading this story.
The plot of the Westervelts Wolves’ story is great and the love between Tristan and Ashlee is very strong. You can feel how they truly love each other and the mystical mating ritual which allows them to receive the most important part of their mate’s heart and soul is truly beautiful. In addition, there is a great variety of secondary characters. I enjoyed learning more about how it all began and the tale is very captivating and will keep you begging for more. The pacing is perfect on how the story is playing out, and it leaves you hanging on what is going to happen next.
Oh, wow. It was fantastic, to tell you the truth. Intense and adventurous enough to satisfy a reader's appetites and leave him (or her, in my case) hanging for the next book in the series. Oh, Santa Claus, I hope you don't lose your way here! I'm waiting for a huge bagful (haha!) of books!
