Ok .. so tell me how is it possible that a 420 page book has 117 chapters?! When the chapters are 2 or 3 pages long! The book was ok .. Story of 3 women and their ups and downs particularly in love .. but the problem is .. all three stories are the same but with varying details. I almost feel that I've wasted my time with this one.
I LOVED these Women's Sisterhood and Friendship.❤❤❤❤ However, they were some of the Most, Indecisive Women I've ever seen!🙄 I feel Chrasey was Too Complacent AND Weak to just move on & get Out of her Dysfunctional "marriage" to Keith. She Used Trevor as a Crutch, ESPECIALLY Knowing that her "marriage" was O.V.E.R.!😑 And goodness......Jordan was the Most CONFUSED One of All 3 of them!😬 To be such an Intelligent Woman, she got on my Last Nerve!!😤 When she was Unhappy with Omar, Jayon would be her Replacement for EVERYTHING-Compassion, Sympathy, Strength......ALLL of the things she Should have been doing for HERSELF, NOT depending on Anyone else to do!🙄 Then to apologize & feel bad about things that Omar did to Himself, Especially after Raping her *I Don't care how drunk or "hurt" he claimed to be........just PATHETIC!🤬🤬 Dakota, IMO STILL needed time to Completely heal. David was just Another Crutch.......their 'Situation' won't last because Dakota is STILL Insecure and felt Undeserving of a Good Man....😳😲 Regardless, 'Diva Diaries' was an EXCELLENT Read.......I really Enjoyed this Author's style of writing.🙌😚
I had to DNF i don’t care for any of these women behaving like teenagers. They don’t need to be in relationships. Stay need therapy. Especially the single one I found myself calling her Miss delusional after a while.. you see how uninterested I am I don’t even remember her name. when Jordan tried to beg her estranged husband to come home after she had been laying up with her best friend a whole other man I was done. I ain’t got time to get somebody else to read it.

One of the most hilarious books I have read this year. It is now clear that there is all the difference between lust, infatuation and love. Also, things don't always go as planned but they do work out eventually. Great Read!!
I read this book several years ago and I just retrieved this review that I had in my notes. I absolutely loved the characters. This book was an emotional roller coaster. What I loved about the book is that the author had this brilliant way of aiding the reader to live in each moment without wanting to fast forward. I admire writers who have that ability. This writer had it. It was actually the first time I ever noticed this writing tactic. I like it! I've since noticed other writers who have this same ability. Readers will think of these characters for months after reading or listening to this book. One criticism is that a couple of times the author freaked me out because she would switch from writing in third person to first person in the same paragraph. The sex scenes are there and not the most graphic I've ever read but you definitely get the picture. There were things that infuriated me about these characters but then again that is the point. Yes there are some immoral acts and these characters will make you analyze yourself. Yes, there is profanity and I will say that some authors use profanity as if it is a second language. Some authors are not even realistic with the use of it and they leave you thinking where do people like this live. At times I do understand the writers are trying to portray real life and sometimes I see the point but sometimes profanity is absolutely unnecessary. This author uses it with a lighter hand than most. The only thing that I didn't care for in this story was the ending. I don't like what the writer did to Jayon. I didnt mind that he did whAt he did but it left me wondering if there wasn't some way for he and Jordan to get past it. Omar definitely shouldn't have had the upper hand after he pulled his stunts but see, here I am still talking about the characters! I personally emailed the author because there has to be a sequel.
I really liked this book! I would like to see more from these characters in other books. This was the first book I've read by this author. Was expecting a little more of a surprise ending though. I thought that Lexia would re surface some where later in the book but she didn't. I also had the feeling that Dakota was going to loose her baby. What I did not expect was for her to end up with David. I don't see it working out in the long run with Chrasey and her husband Keith. As his daughter gets older she's going to be needing him more and asking about him. As far as everything that happened between Jordan and Jayon, I saw all that coming. She shouldn't have put him on pedestal like she did, best friends or not. She was so wrapped up in "Oh' he's been my best friend since college, we're like brothers and sisters...blah blah blah" She can shut that up, and thats what she gets for not taking care of home. True, Omar was wrong for just disappearing like that. But she needed to stop trying to be superwoman and take care of home first. I also feel that Jordan named her son after Jayon, it's only one letter different. I thought something about that would come up later but it didn't. Actually I first thought that Jason was Jayons son, but that she never told anyone. But anyway, I liked the book. I pruchased this book about two months ago and I'm just now reading it. I wish would have started it sooner.

I gave this book 5 stars because it will draw you in but I hated the premise of the story. I think a good book is one that makes you feel and think even if you think that the story is aggravating. I know that we as women are emotional creature and we love hard and want to hang onto relationships past their prime, but these women were beyond pathetic. Think Waiting To Exhale but one woman short.
Spoiler
You have Jordan who feels bad about divorcing a husband who walked out and left for 10 months. When she starts dating her best friend, he "breaks" in the house calls her all kinds of dirty hos, sluts and bitches and RAPES her. Huh???
Then you have Tracy. Her husband will stay on the phone with his mistress and 4 Am. She has a man who drives her home, sends her flowers and makes her toes curl and she dogs out the younger good man for the husband who got his mistress pregnant. I'd and I forgot to tell you that when the husband found out about her affair, he tells his family what she has done but nothing about his affair and child.
Dakota was probably the only one that ever grew and got it right although she was a hot mess for 90% of the book.

This was such an entertaining read! I loved the characters, although I liked Lexia the least. I thought Jayon and Jordan were going to make it. I was a little disappointed that they broke up. I'd love to figure out if Chrasey and Keith are going to stay together. I'm hoping she gets with Trevor. I'm so glad that Dakota left Tony & got with David. She needed better. I don't like Lexia and I was glad when she went away. This story was so relatable. Almost everyone knows someone like the characters in the story. I enjoyed listening to it. I was kind of sad when the story ended. I wanted to know more about what happened with the characters.

Very poorly written, feels like the author was trying to meet some sort of word count. I can't think of any other reason the reader would need detailed descriptions of every character's outfit in every scene. I was going to read the book all the way through because it had become personal to me to get through it, until I read this line, in a scene where the character feels she is being disrespected by her husband:
"Who in the hell do you think you're talkinto? Did I become a white woman in the last week? Talking to me like you can say anything you want."
Crap writing and racism...awesome. Yeah, I think I'll pass on any further reading, thanks anyway.
I love every bit of this book!...i'm not even finished...what i like most is, is this book has a wonderful plot...its such realistic fiction and drew me completely in without using wretched behavior or language.
I enjoyed reading this book. These are stories that everyone can relate to or know someone that is in this situation or has been in a similar situation.
Very fun chick book about friends who are all going through their own "mid life crisis". It is like reading these women's diaries, each chapter is like a different entry from a different diva.
