This fire bible is one that you just don't finish reading. You keep reading it until the day you die. In our home we have a library of bibles and Christian reading materials. One day my husband was telling me about this good study bible called " Fire Bible" needless to say the name of it captured my heart. He purchased the book at a Christian Bookstore and we looked through it and we loved it. He told his friends at work about this bible and they asked him to pick them a copy of the bible up. This study bible is different then my other study bibles we have. We both love it and we use it everyday when we have our devotions and our own personal study time with the Lord Jesus. I have to say it's a must have to anyone who enjoys studying the word of God.

Eh. Not really sure what all the fuss is about. Three stars for being kind of a landmark book but I’m really not getting where all the fandom around this is coming from. Not to get super critical to the original authors or anything but this thing reads like stereo instructions. Little bit long winded, bit meandering in places and feels more like a collection of short stories than a complete cohesive work. Not a bad first attempt, but the writing doesn’t quite pass muster for me. Highlights are definitely that part where that kid kills a giant with a slingshot, the bit where that superhero guy gets a haircut and the part where the Roman guy washes his hands, truthfully I was just glad to see hygiene was still on people’s minds, even way back in the olden days. Anywho, it didn’t really blow my mind and was a bit of let down given that this is somehow the top selling book of all time (???), maybe I let the hype get the best of me, but that’s just one person’s opinion. Heads up though, this thing is LONG.

I'm reading through the New Testament again, using the Fire Bible notes with it this time (not the kids' Bible).
