I am not sure if the main character was a witch or a man of God. This was a strange book because there was a healing power invovled that could be interpreted either way, depending on your beliefs. That said the chupcabra was a monster that was a man that feels the healing power from the main characters. the chupacabra thinks the main character can he heal him and turn him human again. Altho fiction I feel the author lifted some truths from the santeria and I was able to enjoy a new kind of PNR. Not quite about werewolfs or any kind of cretures I'd ever heard of.

Okay, so on one hand it's pretty cool that this series is bringing in more diverse mythology outside of the standard vampires. On the other hand, I was not prepared for what the night stalker was/did. (If you're from a Latin American background, you may have guessed what it was. I had to look up the name when it's finally revealed.)

I usually don't like trigger warnings as I personally find them patronizing. But. In this case, I'll make an exception. The villain sucks the blood/kills small animals, specifically cats and dogs. It doesn't go into a lot of detail but yeah. The dog (and a lot of cats) die. (One dog makes it though!)

That said, I enjoyed the romance between Sara and Ricardo. It's also fun to see the characters from the previous books reappear and help out the heroes. Oh, I also enjoyed the Spanish sprinkled throughout and was quite proud I understood it without the context clues, though there is usually a translation for those who don't. For instance, a character will ask another "Sabes?" and then the next sentence is He knew.

Overall, outside of the fate of the small animals, it was another fun, fast paced Paranormal Romance with the vampire fun of the 2000s and a Latino twist.

Got this from a second hand store so I wasn't able to read the prequels. Even so, the romance feels unnatural and the guy was so overprotective and weak. Feels tedious

Caridad introduces another interesting character into an already eclectic mix of who's who in this one. I've always known that Sara had spunk. It was great to see just how much! :-)

I like the premise, but am not really sold on both the romance (they fall in love like right off the bat) and the plot.
