Patsy Rodenburg is one of the great geniuses of the voice -- its care and feeding, using it effectively on stage and screen, and making its power felt in just about any situation. She has coached people like Judi Dench and Ian McKellan. In this book she concentrates on how to show up with presence when you want to give a speech. There's very little on preparation of content, but lots on preparation of your own body. Most speakers don't do this work, and they show up weaker and less convincing as a result. Rodenburg isn't as well known in the US as she is in the UK, but she should be. She is the best.
